Yellow and gray is my absolute favorite color combination, and surprisingly I haven’t done an inspiration board for it in quite some time!  I think just about every color goes amazingly with gray, but yellow is my favorite. And with Spring coming, I thought it was absolutely perfect. Yellow and gray is fitting for any type of wedding- casual, elegant, outdoor, modern…the list goes on and on. Focus on using more gray for a more elegant wedding, or use more yellow for a casual and fun wedding.

Row 2: Bouquet, Centerpiece, Bridesmaids

Row 3: Bridesmaids, Tablescape, Invitation

No matter what type of wedding you’re having, yellow and gray is the perfect color combination for an absolutely chic wedding. I think it’s a pretty modern color pairing, but it could also be very much vintage- it’s all in the details you use. I love gray! What are some other colors you like that pair well with gray?

I think you all are going to love this! This is a pretty awesome twist on an engagement shoot even if you’re not a Twilight fanatic. When Jeff of K&K Photography mentioned doing a Twilight-inspired shoot for his clients Lindsay and Ferdinand, I knew it was going to be awesome- and I’m not even a Twilight fan!

Jeff was studying the lighting and editing methods of the photographer who shot all of the posters and many of the promo materials for the Twilight movie saga. When Jeff met with Lindsay initially for her wedding, he was in the middle of his studies, and he saw a striking resemblance in Lindsay to Kristen Stewart. He mentioned this to her in an off-hand way, and offered (not really know if she’d be interested in it) shooting a Twilight-inspired fashion/commercial shoot instead of a standard Engagement Session. She was VERY interested, and so the wheels began turning for this fashion shoot.

How amazing is this?! You all know that I love themed engagement shoots, and this Twilight-inspired shoot is absolutely awesome! What a great idea! This could definitely be done with other favorite movies too! A huge thank you to the amazing K&K Photography for sharing this awesome session with us!

This week has been crazy for me, mostly because I had a huge Sunday wedding and I was so exhausted that it threw off my whole week! But I cannot wait to see the pictures from it and eventually share with you all! You’re going to love it!

So this week on {ELD}- there was lots of eye candy!

A South of France Engagement Session :: This engagement session is so absolutely beautiful- and took place in FRANCE!

Inspiration Board: Shabby Chic :: I’m not usually one to use shabby chic to describe a wedding style, but this is truly shabby chic if I’ve ever seen it!

Anthropologie Style Georgia Wedding :: An awesome wedding from w. scott chester!

{Thursday Tips} Affordable Centerpieces :: Using candles as gorgeous affordable centerpieces!

A Classic Candlelit South Carolina Wedding :: This wedding embodies that past two weeks’ Thursday Tips posts, so I felt like this was perfect to end the week with!

Today I wanted to feature this wedding by All Dressed Up Photography because it embodies the past two weeks’ {Thursday Tips} posts so very well. This South Carolina couple chose to do a First Look, and you can see just how much emotion can be captured during a First Look. There were also a ton of candles used, and you can see just how gorgeous candlelight is. Maybe I should be calling this wedding “Thursday Tips Come to Life”….

Did you catch the airplane propeller? The bride and groom are both pilots, so they used an old propeller as their “guest book”! What an awesome idea! A huge thank you to All Dressed Up Photography for sharing this wedding with us, and giving us a great wedding to showcase recent {Thursday Tips}!
