I’ve had my eye on this wedding from Jubilee Events and Carla Ten Eyck for quite some time. The bride and groom were engaged in Paris, and so of course their wedding’s style was inspired by France. There are SO many awesome details- from the bridesmaid dresses to the china on the tables, it’s all absolutely amazing!

The colors, the china, simple centerpieces- everything is gorgeous! And the bride and groom are absolutely adorable, aren’t they?!

I’m not the biggest fan of super traditional wedding-related things. Now when I say traditional, I really mean what you’ll find in the “wedding” or “bridal” section of stores or websites. Everyone needs certain wedding-related items, but why not keep the tradition, and add your own personal twist to it?

Usually you just buy your toasting flutes at Macy’s, and chances are very good that they’ll have hearts, pearls, or wedding rings on them. Don’t get me wrong- those are gorgeous. When Kristen of Kristen Weaver Photography sent me this “Wedding Day Style” photo shoot, I knew I loved it. At first, I had no idea how I would post it, but then it dawned on me- all of these are different wedding day “looks”, and they all reflected totally different styles!

So today’s {Thursday Tip} is short and sweet, and filled with these gorgeous photos from Kristen. For your wedding day style-from your hair all the way to your shoes- stay true to your own style. Just like your wedding’s whole style should reflect you, your OWN style on your wedding day should reflect you even more! Do you wear your hair down every day? Then wear it down for your wedding! Are you always wearing flats? Don’t be uncomfortable, find an awesome pair of flats to wear on your wedding day (just make sure to have your dress altered with you wearing the flats)! Don’t worry about what’s popular and what you *think* is the right thing to do because it’s your wedding day- do what you feel most comfortable with! You wedding day look should be you 100%. You don’t want to look back on your photos and see a made-up and pulled back you- you just want to see YOU.
