I just love these two, and that they had their family and friends spend the whole weekend with them to celebrate their marriage! The wedding day goes by so fast, so why  not extend it into a few days?

How about you? Have you ever thought about having a whole wedding weekend- or are you already planning one?

Inspired by springtime and romance, these beautiful woodland wedding ideas are going to be the most beautiful thing you see today! Using lilacs, jasmine, ranunculus, and lily of the valley, Isari Flower Studio + Event Design created a design reminiscent of a fairytale incorporating european accents, and shades of lilac and yellow, and Jessica Davis Photography captured it all flawlessly!

From Isari Flower Studio + Event Design:

Vista Valley Golf course, nestled in the rolling hills and amidst the avocado groves just north of San Diego, is a hidden gem. It was the perfect backdrop for our beautiful spring wedding shoot. Recently renovated and outfitted with imports from France, we were inspired to use their private dining room to create a memorable backdrop, with hand painted murals, a majestic fireplace mantle, and an antique chandelier too charming to be missed! We produced an alluring and romantic love story, inspired by springtime in the woodlands. Isari Flower Studio + Event Design envisioned the bride’s delicate bouquet as sensual and used lilacs, jasmine, ranunculus, and sweet lily of the valley to create the piece. The sweet bride, modeled by Mia, wore a delicate wax flower crown and vintage off-white lace dress from Bliss Bridal store.  The whimsical hand painted paper goods by Lynnie of “Lucky to be in Love” were inspired by spring watercolor and nature.  The combination of cut glass paired with vintage plates and goblets from “Folklore rentals” created a stunning table scape, perfect for Jessica Davis photography to capture in this ethereal photo shoot.

The sublime outdoor ceremony was inspired by a fairytale-like scene; Jessica, our photographer, shot with film and used the soft and natural lighting of the afternoon filtered through beautiful oak trees to highlight the intimate moments. The bride stunned in a romantic lace dress and statement lace veil. We used wooden benches and the drama of the fireplace frame to create a rustic, folk-tale inspired semi-medieval ceremony. We used an existing antique oversized arbor, decorated with greenery, eucalyptus, flowers, and hanging vines. Candid and intimate shots of the bride and groom, with vivid bouquets and lush vegetation in a secret garden setting, offer a magical note for a real life ceremony at Vista Valley Club.

I for one LOVE the springtime color palette of purple and yellow- isn’t it beautiful?

Becky and Jeff’s nautical Vermont wedding took place in the rural town of Chittenden at the beautifully rustic Mountain Top Inn. A nautical theme was the obvious choice for them since they spend their summers on Cape Cod, have a shared love for all things nautical, and they were even engaged on Jeff’s boat! Being that their wedding was taking place in a beautiful barn in the middle of Vermont, it posed a bit of a challenge for the nautical theme- but Becky knew just what to do! As a graphic designer owning Salty Anchor Design, Becky created a full brand for their big day, including a logo, color scheme, stickers, formal invitations, and so much more. Armed with a wedding day brand, everything was tied in perfectly by pairing dark navy with kraft and burlap (to lend itself to the rustic location), and natural white April tulips to bring the theme to life. 822 Weddings was there to capture every detail and moment of the day, and Becky is here with us today to tell us all about it!

What (or who) helped you most in your planning process and/or on your wedding day?

I was lucky to find amazing vendors who helped make the entire wedding process completely stress-free and very straightforward. Being a small business owner myself, organization and task management was really important leading up to our big day. We had everything tracked and detailed via our shared Google Drive. This included our unique online RSVP via our Squarespace website, which auto populated a spreadsheet and tracked updated addresses for all of our friends and family. It made everything such a breeze to tackle, including lodging help for guests, invitations, seating charts and even thank you notes after the wedding!

What was the most important thing to you when deciding who to work with for your wedding?

It didn’t take us long at all to make our vendor choices. We were able to instantly see their product quality and service expertise, which made the decision process a no brainer. Most importantly, it was so clear that they absolutely loved what they did for a living. With that kind of passion, we knew we were in good hands.

What was your inspiration for your wedding details and/or design?

I’m a graphic designer specializing in branding, so my job here was to create a look that really defined who we are as a couple. The advantage here is that we are the “client” that I know best. I was inspired by our love, our lifestyle, our home, our summers on the Cape, our engagement story and our vision for the wedding we always knew we wanted to have. With our nautical style in mind, it was so much fun designing a look that would extend across all of our communication opportunities and event decor.

What was your favorite thing about your wedding?

Aside from all the obvious highlights (my handsome groom, being surrounded by all of our favorite people, and the whole weekend filled with an abundance of love), it was so amazing to see months of design, planning, printing, staging and preparing all come together so beautifully. You piece together the look of this big event in your mind and in scattered segments, but then suddenly it all comes to life and it’s such an incredible moving experience. I truly loved every last detail. ;-)

What is your best piece of advice for other brides?

The advice I will always give to brides is to remember your groom and your guests. There are plenty of obstacles in the planning process, but you need to remember what truly matters and what simply doesn’t. It’s a weekend about you and the love of your life becoming a team forever, but it’s also a celebration with friends and family. Make sure you focus on details that everyone will appreciate and enjoy. After all, it really is one big party!

I love Becky’s advice, and that she still focused on details that everyone would appreciate and enjoy. I think my favorite detail of everything from her wedding might be the sea salt favors that doubled as escort cards! Although tulips always have my heart too.

How about you? Do you have a favorite detail from this nautical Vermont wedding?

Late spring and early fall are two of the most popular times to get married; however, Lauren and Bryan’s South Carolina wedding day proves that the winter is just as beautiful. Filled to the brim with details to honor their Southern heritage, Lauren and Bryan’s Stone River celebration is approachable, beautiful, and completely intentional. Though there are so many sweet moments and details to love, it’s their guest book that completely stole the show- Lauren proudly displayed letters that her students wrote about her upcoming wedding! Joshua Aaron Photography was there to capture the day, and you absolutely must see it all!

I love how the floral designers at Statice incorporated cotton – a plant native to the state of South Carolina – into the bouquets, centerpieces, and boutonnieres. And, I also adore how the couple decided to incorporate their monogram into their wedding day (ceremony wreaths and a gorgeous wedding day necklace gifted to the bride by the groom!).
