Romantic Red, Pink, and Lavender Mississippi Wedding

This classic Mississippi wedding was truly a family affair. Allison and Bo married in their hometown surrounded by family and friends who added special moments throughout their wedding day. The two included many family heirlooms, like their great grandparents’ wedding rings and Allison’s grandmother’s cross necklace, which add the sweetest touches to their day. The couple had an incredible vendor team to help pull off their celebration, plus help from friends of the family to make sure that everything came together in the most perfect fashion!

Alisha Crossley Photography captured every special moment and detail of Allison and Bo’s wedding day- from the vibrant colors and joyous smiles, to the killer floral wreath that adorned the ceremony alter! And of course the sweetest moments were captured, like the father-daughter dance where Allison and her dad danced to a song that he recorded for them. It is clear that this wedding was full of joyous celebration and was one heck of a party too, and we can’t wait for you to see it all!

We adore the ways this couple incorporated their story and family history into their wedding day, and we just love how involved their family was in making this day extra special for them. Cassie and Brent’s intimate brewery wedding was full of sweet heart details and they focused many of their choices on highlighting the beauty and history of their city. They incorporated their city into the details by choosing a historic building to host their wedding and used flowers that were all locally grown and sourced by their floral designer Presh Floral.

We are definitely loving the beautiful floral heart wreath that created the main focal point of Brent and Cassie’s ceremony, and then doubled as a backdrop for the head table in their reception. The bright and vibrant colors of the day complimented the the space in such a fun way, and we love how Brittany Lee Photography was able to capture the sweet love that these two share.

What (or who) helped you most in your planning process and/or on your wedding day?

I have been planning events professionally for the past eight years so I was able to draw on my personal experiences and those of my colleagues as well – one of my former colleagues was my day-of coordinator!

What was the most important thing to you when deciding who to work with for your wedding?

My husband and I continually said that we were trusting our gut. When we were researching or meeting potential vendors we were looking for people that felt like friends. This started even before I got involved and my husband was looking for a jeweler to make a custom engagement ring and happened to find one who loved and played the sport of rugby just like he does.

What was your inspiration for your wedding details and/or design?

We wanted our wedding to feature a lot of local details (local flowers, local beer, etc). We are both transplants to our city and many of our family and friends were visiting it for the first time so we wanted to show it off. We chose our venue for that location and named our tables after streets we lived on in the city.

What was your favorite thing about your wedding?

The whole day was wonderful and we were so happy to share it with our friends and families. I love having so many beautiful photos to look back on so photography and flowers were also key!

What is your best piece of advice for other brides?

At the very start of planning figure out what is most important to the two of you and always keep that in mind. If you get caught up in the details or the budget or drama with family and friends come back to where you started and what the day is really about. If it’s not in your top 1 or 3 or 5 most important things (whatever you determine that to be) it’s not worth stressing about, and if it is find a compromise or creative solution or drop something else that wasn’t as important to make it work. And of course enjoy!

As a professional event planner herself, it is clear that this bride was incredibly intentional with her choices that created the design of their day, and we just love the subtle hints of hearts that wrapped their way throughout the day. It’s hard not to let these bright colors and heart details get you thinking about celebrating Valentine’s Day with the one you love!

Thomas and Lauren’s North Carolina wedding was full of beautifully personal details. Their ceremony took place at the church where Lauren grew up, and her bouquet was wrapped in several different fabrics that tied together the weddings from the women in her family. She had tulle from her mother’s wedding veil, tulle from her grandmother’s veil and fabric from her other grandmother’s dress. Leading into their reception, they displayed family photos from marriages they admire, and after Lauren and Thomas cut their wedding cake they shared a toast from the same cup her parents and grandparents used on their wedding day.

We absolutely love how Leigh Pearce Weddings created a classically simplistic style that truly allowed for intentional details and this gorgeous couple to take center stage, and Samantha Laffoon Photography captured the day in the most beautiful way!

String market lights, an awaiting dance floor, and simplistically draped tables with crisp greenery and blooms made Chris and Charlie’s Temecula wedding simply divine. The invitations, printed with a fresh green script, perfectly tied in every aspect of the wedding- from the natural tones, to the floral filled tablescapes,and decor. The ceremony, held under a canopy of trees and an arch decorated with greenery and vibrant pink florals, set the beautiful scene for this couple to exchange their vows and finalize their “I Do’s.”

We love the eclectic details that let Chris and Charlie’s personalities shine. A vintage bike, succulents adorned with escort cards that doubled as favors, and handmade games were the perfect accents to this intimate wedding under the stars. Leah Marie Photography captured it all beautifully, and we can’t wait for you to see it all!

We love the eclectic mix of vintage details and personalized elements that brought this day together. How cool are those corn hole boards that look like a carved tree? What a fun memento that they will be able to keep to celebrate this day for years to come.
