Emily and Russell’s Illinois wedding was the perfect mesh of moody colors, sleek style, unique touches, and handmade details. We absolutely love the elegant boho style of the wedding party- from the bride’s beautiful backless wedding gown and the mix of bridesmaids dresses in a variety of styles and colors, to to the crisp blue suits with floral ties!

The beautiful photos captured by Photography by Lauryn are full of so much emotion and detail. We are totally loving the foggy beach portraits that added a cool crisp feel to the setting of Emily and Russell’s day. Oh, and don’t miss the adult flower girls during the ceremony! Such a cute idea, and they pulled it off in such a fun and classy way.

We love the idea of tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwich shooters for a crisp fall wedding. We love unique food ideas at weddings, and this option fit in so well with their style, and looks absolutely delicious!

Romantic Blush & Green Big Sur Wedding

With wildfires looming in the distance and the weather dependent on changing winds, Michelle and Sean’s Big Sur wedding took a few last minute design changes that we feel made their day even more beautiful. They made the decision to have their reception under a gorgeous clear tent that also served as a shelter for guests from falling ash, but it allowed the guests to also view the colorful skies created by the mix of the sunset and smoke from the fires. Though their venue was not in the danger zone, their planner, Coastside Couture, helped them make last minute decisions, and executed their design in the perfect way despite the challenges that nature threw their way.

Their wedding day was full of beautiful blush and greenery details, and a soft and romantic feel, but what will always be the most memorable part of this day is their battle with nature, and the perfect and joyful celebration that resulted. The stunning skies that resulted from the mix of smoke, sunset, and the last hints of clear blue were captured in incredible ways by Orbie Pullen Photography, and it put a lovely finishing touch on this eventful day.

Michelle shared with us a special moment from their ceremony where their officiant paused for a moment while a plane flew over bringing water to aid in the firefighting efforts. This couple surely made the most of their day, and we are so glad they not only they were not threatened by the fires, but that they chose to share their special day with us.

I am so excited to be sharing these colorful and whimsically modern wedding ideas with you all today! I was tasked with the mission of creating a design that reflected several Aisle Society bloggers (Every Last Detail included of course), and it’s one of my favorite shoots I’ve ever been a part of!

Since many of the bloggers that Aisle Society represents feature colorful color palettes, we knew that we wanted to create something that would make all of us color-lovers proud. Our team turned to designer Michelle Edgemont to assist us in creating a design that would be both whimsical and beautiful. A quick search on Minted.com, and we were totally and completely inspired by the invitation suite that we chose, using pink, teal, lavender, and blue as our palette. The paint swashes incorporated in the invitation design also served as inspiration, of which we included art prints (also from Minted.com) as a backdrop for our chic and whimsy table. The final piece of our design was our interactive element- a donut wall! Being that donut walls are already pretty popular, we chose to use mini-donuts instead of large donuts to add a little something new… and tasty of course! The amazing Alea Lovely Photography captured each and every detail perfectly, and I cannot wait for you to see it all!

Vanessa and Keane’s romantic California vineyard wedding was written in the stars. With a rich color palette of deep burgundy, stormy blues, and muted pinks, they treated their guests to a celebration that was joyful and delicious! From the mariachi band and the taco truck, to origami details and a michelada station, the newlyweds pulled in details from both of their families to truly make it a family affair.

The nods to astronomy that could be found in details as big as the escort display, all the way down to the groom’s pocket square, might be our favorite things. And we absolutely love Vanessa and Keane’s stellar design sense and style, and are so glad that Shane and Lauren Photography captured their perfectly curated details in the most beautiful way. You won’t want to miss the fun from this couple’s wedding day!

We love how fun this celebration looked. Popsicles to greet their guests and a mariachi band to kick off their ceremony surely set the mood for this joyous day!
