Interview
Why do you see yourself as being Modern, Vintage, Classic, or Eclectic?
I consider myself more of a modern person, however every one of my weddings is completely tailored to what my clients’ taste. I create each event based on the look the bride and groom’s vision for their special day.
What is your favorite wedding detail you've ever seen or created?
I love surprises at a wedding! One of my favorites was a snowfall we created at a winter wonderland wedding during the couple’s first dance. Even the groom had no idea. It was magical!
What is your favorite store or brand?
I certainly love luxury brands, but I am just as excited about finding unique custom pieces. I’ve traveled to many different countries and am thrilled to pick up special finds that tell a good story with some history behind it!
What advice do you have for a newly engaged couple?
Having an idea of your budget is important to start the planning process. Also, the team of vendors you select make your wedding day so create the very best team possible.
What is your favorite thing about weddings?
I love how rewarding planning is! I’m surrounded by so much happiness and love.
What qualities do you possess that enable you to work well with brides and grooms?
One word: Calm! I am a very calm person and keep a level head in high pressure situations; that suits being a wedding planner very well. I always laugh that I used to own a yoga studio and that prepared me to work in this industry.
What steps do you take to ensure that your clients will have amazing wedding days when working with you?
I call myself a “boutique” wedding planner as I take under 20 weddings a year. Having a smaller clientele allows me to spend the time needed with each bride and give them all of the personal attention they deserve so we can really focus on the details.
