Interview
Why do you see yourself as being Modern, Vintage, Classic, or Eclectic?
At the core of my style is a love for the natural. Almost all of my portfolio images were shot in natural light. Of course, some of the images were posed, but I believe in a candid approach that allows my clients to be themselves and forget they are being photographed. I'm constantly searching for capturing real moments in an editorial, fashion, and photojournalistic style.
What is your favorite wedding detail you've ever seen or created?
I would say my favorite detail would have to be a jar of honey as a wedding favor, with the logo of a bee and the environmental message - Save the Bees. I love a good environmental message, but more than that, I love personal details!
What is your favorite store or brand?
My favorite clothing stores are definitely J.Crew or Banana Republic. And if you know me, I love everything about the Oxford Exchange and their brand! So I'm definitely a fan of Pottery Barn and Restoration Hardware as well!
What advice do you have for a newly engaged couple?
Slow the day down. Everyone always says, your wedding day is blur, but it doesn't have to be! How wonderful would it be to enjoy the day with your wedding party and family, with out feeling rushed all day? A first look or an extended cocktail hour will give you and your photographer much more time, but nothing can replace an amazing coordinator.
What is your favorite thing about weddings?
I love that each wedding is an opportunity to tell a unique and beautiful story that my clients will cherish forever.
