Today’s industrial chic wedding inspiration feature is one of my favorites of every year- it’s Starlit Supper! Starlit Supper is an evening of inspiration, design, celebration, and fun that I and my dear friend Laura of Ashton Events have hosted for the past 5 years, and it just keeps getting better every year! For this year’s design, we drew inspiration from our industrial venue, Haus 820, the number five (look all throughout and see where you can spot the fives!), and a modern, neutral color palette. Florals provided by Mayesh in shades of gray and white in cement and wire vases paired with green foliage perfectly, while black and copper accents added a beautifully modern, chic style. And of course the escort display is one of my absolute favorite details- you do not want to miss it! Justin Demutiis Photography captured all of the details impeccably, and I cannot wait for you to take in all of the beauty!
From Laura of Ashton Events:
The inspiration behind this year’s Starlit Supper truthfully came from the brand new venue opening in Lakeland, Haus 820, and the fact that we celebrated our fifth year of Starlit Supper. We knew that there would be lots of raw materials because the venue is still under construction, so we wanted to use a palette that felt very deconstructed with a strong accent of copper.
We also used felt and acrylic as our two main textures, and loved how they complemented each other. Siuleth from Eleven-Note created an amazing invitation suite that highlighted the Roman numeral “V” to signify our fifth year. The suite inspired us to bring in an assortment of vinyl decals- and those chair decals ended up being one of our favorite details!
The escort display was actually inspired by an art installation in Copenhagen. Each of the escort cards was fastened to a pair of lasercut felt coasters, which doubled as the guests’ favors. Be sure to check out the video from Randall Productions at the bottom (pause at 1:28) to see just how beautifully they turned out!
All of the florals we brought in were all in the neutral palette, and we loved how the early grey roses paired against the green foliage and the black trellis’. We wanted to keep the centerpieces candlelight focused, and the cement vases and wire vase holders provided an industrial edge to the luxurious tablescapes.
And this video by Randall Productions sums up the evening beautifully!

We could, as always, go on and on about the attention to detail and masterful addition that each vendor made to this annual event. Justin DeMutiis did an incredible job capturing the evening for us. It’s always an event Lauren & I look forward to hosting each year, and this 5th year was no exception!
And I must say… the fog gun that DJ Jacob has is SO fun (if you can’t tell by my face in the photos)! Thank you to all of the amazing wedding professionals who contributed to creating this evening. We are so very thankful for your talent and your support!
