This gorgeous Great Gatsby inspired navy and gold wedding from Ryan Joseph Photographs and Tracie Domino Events had me enthralled from beginning to end! Beautiful sparking details, including linens and table numbers, bring a gorgeous sparkle to the entire day while a navy accent color works in perfect harmony with all the sparkle and shine. This wedding is a true combination of elegant and modern style- I absolutely love it! The beautiful bride Karyn is here with us today to share about her lovely wedding…
What (or who) helped you most in your planning process and/or on your wedding day?
My mom, our wedding planner Tracie Domino, and my MOH Katherine King helped most during the planning and on our wedding day. Tracie brought all the vendors, styles and logistic options and my mom helped make every decision along the way. Tracie made an incredible document for our wedding day with every detail listed including timelines, layouts, contacts and more for everyone involved to have the tools for a flawless event.
What was the most important thing to you when deciding who to work with for your wedding?
When deciding who to work with for our wedding, I looked for someone assertive, well connected, responsive, fabulous style and someone who I enjoyed spending time working with. Tracie Domino Events was the perfect decision and everyone she introduced me to had the same attributes.
What was your inspiration for your wedding details and/or design?
We envisioned a timeless and romantic evening. Great Gatsby inspired the fun atmosphere during the reception. We loved mixing the formal evening with our favorite comfort food stations and upbeat music.
What was your favorite thing about your wedding?
I loved the moment we walked down the aisle after saying our vows and seeing all our family and friends smiling faces. It was so exciting running through the sparkler exit and knowing the celebration was ahead. Our photographer, Ryan Joseph, captured every moment beautifully and we will always treasure all the details in the classic photos.
What is your best piece of advice for other brides?
Remember to take a few moments for yourself throughout the day to stop and take it all in. The day flies by and you will cherish those memories forever. I also loved having my hair down during the ceremony and having it put up for the reception because it kept my hair looking fresh all night!
Oh I just love Karyn’s advice- and how amazing are those glitter table numbers?! I’m obsessed!
Are any of you getting your inspiration from something like the Great Gatsby? I’d love to hear about it in the comments!
