It was through a date with Reese’s friend that Erika met her husband-to-be – she claims it was her order of a “Bud Heavy” at breakfast that truly impressed him. Eight wonderful years later, Erika and Reese found themselves planning a wedding that was so uniquely ‘them.’ Their vision for their special Seattle wedding day was one of a warm and welcoming extended dinner party, incorporating their three favorite things: good food, good music, and good friends.

From the welcome with glasses of rosé to the elegant oyster bar, Erika and Reese created an atmosphere where their wedding guests would feel spoiled and could comfortably linger with plenty to snack on and drink. With the glowing lights of downtown Seattle as their backdrop, the couple and their guests danced the night away into the early hours of the morning.

We just love how fresh and organic everything about their wedding day felt. The beautiful and lush greenery throughout the ceremony and reception, the rich green and floral dresses that bridesmaids completely rocked, and the pops of floral in the men’s attire that tied everything together. We love the style and details that Taylor’d Events Group pulled together, and we are thrilled to share these images captured by Matthew Land Photography!

We love that Erika shared a few little thoughts with us regarding her wedding day. Although she admits that she isn’t the type to have planned her wedding for years, she and her new husband found themselves blown away by the celebration. The feeling of seeing all of their loved ones together in a city they called their own was overwhelming. “I will always remember the perfectness of the day that came unexpectedly,” shares Erika. “Definitely don’t stress. What comes together (with all of the blemishes, missing tables, guests that show up uninvited) is perfect. Do what you want, not what anyone else recommends,” she encourages.
