An Elegant Blush & Red Sarasota Wedding

They say a smile is a bride’s best accessory, and it couldn’t be truer than in today’s stunning Sarasota wedding from one of the best, NK Productions Wedding Planning. What (or who) helped you most in your planning process and/or on your wedding day?

NKP! My wedding planning team was a life saver. Korrin & Kerri were amazing. I will NEVER forget when I FINALLY sat down to eat dinner, I cut my filet & the steak sauce went all over my dress. Kerri came to save the day with her tide to-go wipes & turned my dress to white again. She sat next to me and was scrubbing my dress clean while I continued to eat because I was so hungry.

Tell us a little a bit about your wedding (your vision, color, style, and location choices).

Doug & I really wanted to get married in Saint Thomas, USVI while we were living there. However just as we began planning the wedding, Hurricane Irma blew through & devastated the Caribbean. Due to all the damage, we had to relocate back to the states & start over planning our wedding elsewhere. We wanted to keep the tropical theme apart of our big day. Since I grew up in Sarasota, FL, we decided to get married in a Catholic Church on Siesta Key & have the reception at The Field Club. I really wanted the theme to be romantic & elegant. For October I thought a dark red would be perfect for my bridesmaid dresses. Our colors were dark red, light pink, ivory, navy blue, & gold. I really love how all of those colors & how they look together.

Do you have any advice for couples planning their weddings now?

Enjoy every minute of your wedding day, it goes by in the flash of an eye. Also, don’t forget to honor your parents. It’s important not to forget how special this day is for them too.
