An evening of rustic elegance at Cross Creek Ranch was the perfect backdrop for Brandon and Lauren’s Central Florida wedding day. We love that they chose glamorous details that elevated the rustic style of their day, adding a bit of elegance to the design.
Rad Red Creative captured the beauty of this day in both photo and cinematic form, and we are in love with how everything came together. They selected a color palette that matched their style beautifully, featuring touches of blush mixed with rich navy tones, upping the romance in the most beautiful of ways.

Tell us a little a bit about your wedding.
Our goal was to achieve rustic elegance. We wanted soft colors and romantic, timeless accents to fill the space. Our colors were blush, gold and navy. While we wanted an elegant wedding we also wanted it to be a relaxed intimate evening with family and friends. Our priorities were for sure finding an enchanting venue and amazing food. Cross Creek Ranch is such an breathtaking venue that you literally feel like time has stopped. From the moss covered trees to the rustic barn and open-air chapel each element really made our vision come to life!
Tell us about your attire choices.
After competing in pageants for most of my life, I didn’t want my gown to look like a pageant gown so I choose a gown with no beading – the only stoning appeared in the belt I selected. The lace was the perfect complement to our rustic wedding.
Brandon wanted to wear something classic and timeless. He knew he didn’t want to wear a tux so he selected a fitted tweed suit. Instead of a traditional boutonniere Brandon complemented his suit was a deer lapel pin that tied to our rustic theme, his groomsmen wore similar pins.
We both changed for the reception. I wore Lulu’s Bariano Ocean of Elegance Ivory Maxi Dress. It was something I could dance and have a good time in but at the same time still looked bridal and elegant. Brandon wanted to be a little more modern and choose a slim fitting suit with loafers. His favorite part of the suit was the waistcoat.
What was the most important to the two of you while planning? Was there anything that you chose to splurge on or skip?
The most important thing to Brandon and I was making sure that our guests enjoyed themselves but that we also got to enjoy ourselves. Additionally, we wanted to make sure that our day was captured perfectly and had no issues with splurging to make sure we had the photos and video we wanted to remember our once in a lifetime day!
What were your favorite parts of the day?
One of my favorite parts of the day was walking down the aisle. I surprised Brandon as one of his friends sang “Make Me Whole” by Amel Larrieux – it was perfect!
After the wedding it was incredible to hang out with friends and family – there wasn’t a dry eye in the room when Brandon danced with his mom and later that evening we had a bonfire, smores, and a ton of outdoor games that made it a fun time for everyone.
Please describe any DIY, handmade, or personal details.
For our unity ceremony we decided we wanted to incorporate something we could have in our home. Brandon built a cross and we tied the strands during the unity ceremony inspired by Ecclesiastes 4:12. I absolutely love this cross, it turned out perfectly and is a constant reminder of that incredible day!
What (or who) helped you most in your planning process and/or on your wedding day?
Cross Creek Ranch was amazing! The planning process made everything so easy, we really had little to do or worry about. Choosing an all-inclusive venue was one of the best decisions we made.

Do you have any advice for couples planning their weddings now?
Our advice is pretty simple – take your time! We were engaged for a over a year and it was one of the best things we ever did. It allowed us to make sure everything was exactly how we wanted it with minimal stress. Also, its your day – other people mean well but at the end of the day you are the ones that have to live with it so make sure you’re happy!
How gorgeous is this couple? We love the thought that went into so many details that made their day so beautiful, and even more, the insight that they shared behind those decisions.
