Classic, elegant, and full of style, this red and black wedding from Conrad Lim Photography is just stunning! Skybox Event Productions designed a wedding with a gorgeously chic and effortless style- from the bridesmaid dresses to the wedding cake, everything was carefully and beautifully coordinated. The lovely bride, Thao, is joining us today to chat about her wedding planning experience:
What (or who) helped you most in your planning process and/or on your wedding day?
My wedding planner, Ngoc Nguyen Lay, was the one person who really helped me throughout the whole entire process. Without her I wouldn’t even know where to begin on planning a wedding. You really dont realize how much goes into planning a wedding.
What was the most important thing to you when deciding who to work with for your wedding?
The most important part in choosing a wedding planner for me was – do we work well together, does she understand what we want? It is easy to say price point matters, but it doesn’t matter if she doesn’t understand what we want and we cant get along. I have heard some horror stories so I am very thankful Ngoc was so easy to work with. She really listened to our wants and needs and helped us make the right decision for us.
What was your inspiration for your wedding details and/or design?
My inspiration- I wanted something clean, simple and classic. I always knew I wanted the classic color theme- black, red and white with a modern twist to it. With a November wedding, the colors were just right!
What was your favorite thing about your wedding?
My favorite part of the wedding was my father daughter dance. It was so much fun planning and practicing it with my dad. I loved everyones reaction when they realized it wasn’t your typical father daughter dance.

What is your best piece of advice for other brides?
My advice to all brides is to really enjoy the process. It may be stressful but its so much fun at the same time. Most girls dream of their wedding day, so take time to enjoy it. It only happens once. I missed the planning as soon as it was over.
I love the whole design of the sweetheart table… that paper flower backdrop is absolutely amazing!
Will you be having a sweetheart table, or are you going the route of a head table? What are your plans?
Vendors who made it all happen…
