Why do you see yourself as being Modern, Vintage, Classic, or Eclectic?

We define our photography style as classic and timeless with an editorial aesthetic. Our goal is for our couple's wedding photos to feel like they were right out of a magazine while lasting the test of time.

What is your favorite wedding detail you've ever seen or created?

We can never get enough of any detail that is customized to the couple and their love story. From customized Stubbs and Wooton loafers to hand painted invitation suites that integrate all of their favorite things as a couple (we love hidden touches in the details), we can never say it enough that making your day about your love and friendship is just the best.

What is your favorite store or brand?

Pottery Barn and everything they do seems to catch our eye and hearts! We love how classic the designs are while incorporating fun touches of color, patterns, and texture.

What advice do you have for a newly engaged couple?

Don't be afraid to make your day about you. As family loving people-pleasers ourselves, we know how difficult it can be to follow your heart and not the heart of others, but you will feel so much more joy looking back on your photos knowing your day truly represented your love.

What is your favorite thing about weddings?

We know we're a bit in the minority here, but we have to say it is a tie between the first look, the ceremony, and family portraits. As much as we love capturing beautiful details (they are still some of our favorite moments), the images that we truly are most proud of are the ones that highlight our couple's love and relationship. The first look is such an intimate and incredible moment that we truly feel so honored to get to be a part of. (We did a first look for our own wedding day and it is one of our favorite memories together). For us, legacy also is so incredibly important, so when it comes to family portraits, we love making them organized, fun, and seamless. At the end of the day, we know those photos will mean so much to our couples and generations to come, and it is a time of the day that we take with gravity. As for the ceremony? Well, to us, that is what the whole day is really about. The day that you marry your best friend, and we just love getting to be the storytellers of that love story while being your eyes and ears as you marry your best friend.

What qualities do you possess that enable you to work well with brides and grooms?

We both actually were teachers before becoming luxury destination wedding photographers, and because we were teachers first, we really believe that our ability to communicate and direct allows for us to provide a wedding experience that is filled with comfort and service. From coaching our couples through the process to providing wedding tips to guiding posing during photos, we know how to love and serve without end because it has always been in our hearts to do so.

What steps do you take to ensure that your clients will have amazing wedding days when working with you?

Communicate, love, and serve. When our couples work with us, they truly can tell that our goal is to love them, serve them, and to make sure that the way that they experience their wedding day is filled with joy and love from beginning to end, because it is ingrained in our hearts. It is who we are as people. When the wedding day is done and marriage begins, it can become difficult. Marriage truly can be hard, but that is why we do what we do. We create a wedding experience for our couples that is cushioned with comfort and joy, so that even on their hardest days, when they see their album on their coffee table or their wedding portraits on their walls, they are reminded of the day that they married their best friend and all of the joy and happiness they felt on that day. Because our couples don't just want good marriages. They want great ones, and that is why we go above and beyond for each and every one of them. From our online community of couples to our in-person date nights, our mission with our couples doesn't end after the wedding day. We are there cheering them on for the rest of their lives. Because we truly don't just take pretty pictures. We create images that impact marriages.
