Why do you see yourself as being Modern, Vintage, Classic, or Eclectic?

I honestly feel like I'm a bit of everything! Most of what I offer my wedding clients tends to er on the side of classic but I truly try to aim for a bit of modern in that I love a good documentary feel. I like to capture the in between moments and not just the stuffy posed work!

What is your favorite wedding detail you've ever seen or created?

I know it's technically a BIG detail but the venue does so much for me in terms of translating the style I shoot. So my favorite detail overall is the venue itself! I'm very partial to unique venues and so far my favorite that I've seen is The Clay Theatre, The Edison, Rialto Theatre and Oxford Exchange. The brick, exposed beams and the like... I'm all for it! If we want to get super specific, I had one of my couples (one is a designer of sorts!) create their own wedding invites and stickers for their wedding. They were custom drawings of each other and it was super cool!

What is your favorite store or brand?

Big on Target (I know I know so basic lol) but I love the styles from Baltic Born, Piper & Scoot...etc.

What advice do you have for a newly engaged couple?

I know I'm biased but don't cut short on the photo! If it seems too good to be true it probably is. Please take your time to make sure you go through full galleries, make sure they're insured and running a legal business!

What is your favorite thing about weddings?

I love getting those tear jerkers and the over joyed photos! A good first dance and a good first look are so great for this.

What qualities do you possess that enable you to work well with brides and grooms?

I make all of my couples so comfortable! I work, speak, and act in a way that I've been told brings them so much peace. They trust me and what I'm doing!

What steps do you take to ensure that your clients will have amazing wedding days when working with you?

I care from the beginning. Getting to know my couples a bit and relating to them is super helpful. But personally I always help with wardrobe suggestions, vendor suggestions, and I build them a custom timeline to help ensure that I'm right where I need to be always.
