At the beginning of this year, I started noticing a lot of photo shoots popping up all over blogs. Naturally they’re all great for inspiration. But then I got to thinking- I wonder if brides would be able to replicate these tablescapes and stay within their budgets.  Peonies and ghost chairs aren’t exactly the most budget-friendly things.

And so the {ELD} DIY Photo Shoot was born! I’ll be honest, it’s not the absolute best, and it was the very first photo shoot that I’ve ever done (more will be coming!). But I did do EVERYTHING myself, and I’m 100% confident that any bride would be able to do what I did.

The inspiration behind the shoot was to do something country chic. I knew that I wanted to use purple, and I’m obsessed with yellow, so the color combination seemed perfect! The colors were mainly incorporated into the flowers, and everything else just had more of a “country” feel to it.

When planning the shoot, I wanted to focus on the DIY aspects, and make sure everything REALLY was what other people (aka brides) would be able to do. Along with that, I also wanted to do something everyone could afford to do. (I actually had to stop at one point when something got hard and remind myself that the focus was DIY!) The DIY aspects of the table number, doily garland, and fabric screen are all different levels of “difficulty”, but are still somewhat simple. More details are coming your way!
