Erin and Marc’s earthy and romantic San Diego wedding took place at the beautiful Rancho Bernardo Inn. After viewing their wedding, I’m even more convinced that the light, venues, and wedding professionals, especially the fabulous Melissa McClure Photography, are all that much sweeter in California!

One of Erin and Marc’s greatest wishes for their wedding was to carry familial ties throughout the entirety of their day. They turned to Heather of Amorology who did a marvelous job designing each and every detail for their day! Tree stumps were used in pieces such the escort display (I’m obsessed!) and table numbers to represent E+M’s past, present, and future together. I also LOVE the Grandpa’s Questions conversation starters that greeted guests at their tables! Succulents and cookies were placed at every setting, and neutral shades and lilac filled the palette.

Today’s wedding is such a beautiful representation of a couple’s love for each other and their families, and I so hope you adore each and every image as much as I do! Erin is also sharing her best wedding planning tips, so make sure to keep reading.

What (or who) helped you most in your planning process and/or on your wedding day?

Amorology Weddings (Heather – wedding planner) helped us the most in the planning process, and she and our photographer, Melissa McClure, helped the day of run very smoothly.

What was the most important thing to you when deciding who to work with for your wedding?

The most important thing to me when deciding who to work with on my wedding day was to ensure that everyone I surrounded myself with would be very organized and keep us on time with the schedule we had planned, while keeping a calm environment focused on the important aspects of the wedding day.

What was your inspiration for your wedding details and/or design?

My inspiration for the wedding details and design was our family tree, as family is very important to my husband and I.

What was your favorite thing about your wedding?

My favorite thing about my wedding was walking into the beautiful ballroom, surrounded by everyone we love, and being introduced as husband and wife.

What is your best piece of advice for other brides?

The two pieces of advice that I have for other brides, is to take a moment at your wedding to step back and look at the faces of your family to remember their joy on your wedding day. My second piece of advice is to enjoy the planning process as much as possible, and to surround yourself with trusting vendors so that you will not have to worry about anything on your wedding day.

Romantic Red and Blue Wedding Inspiration

Inspired by a modern bride who still adores whimsical details and fairytales, today’s dream team set out to create a red and blue wedding design filled with romance and warmth in the middle of the winter. Their photoshoot occurred on a cloudy day, which only makes the lighting for the images captured by Jill Doty Photography even more picturesque, plus the field setting allowed each and every fabric to blow softly in the wind.

The tablescape by Table and Fete is highlighted by a Silk & Willow table runner and the perfect number of candles, and the gorgeous centerpiece designed by Bushel & Peck adds even more beauty to the scene. The stunning florals only continue in the personal bouquet and boutonniere, which both feature merlot, rust, gold, and ivory blooms set amongst the perfect amount of greens. Plus, I haven’t even said how much I adore the bride’s lovely dress and the groom’s dapper suit!

As if all of the beauty wasn’t enough, this inspiration is actually positioned as a vow renewal, and so it should come as no surprise that the stationery suite by Foster Pen & Ink is my most loved piece. Surely you will find favorites of your own while enjoying this inspiration, so sit back and enjoy!

My grandparents were married for over 70 years, so anything tied to a vow renewal will forever hold a special place in my heart. And today’s inspiration is, without a doubt, marvelously special.

Garden Inspired Pink and Navy Arizona Wedding

Fantastically beautiful photography can take many shapes and forms. But, in the case of today’s lovely Arizona wedding, it’s not being able to tell for one instant that the sweet couple in the photos got married on the hottest day of the year in Scottsdale. Y’all- it was 114 degrees, but the love surrounding Chloe and Mason filled the air even more!

C+M outfitted their wedding day with the prettiest garden-inspired details. Florals by Carte Blanche Design were abundant and bountiful with eucalyptus and Juliet garden roses at every turn, and meaningful Bible quotes were handlettered on signs displayed throughout their ceremony and reception space. The bridesmaids wore stunning navy dresses, and each customized her gown by tying it differently. Y’all, I love this wedding. Every single piece. And I’m so grateful to share Chloe and Mason’s day with you through all of the photos captured by Jay & Jess Photography!

Oh, and how fabulous is that chandelier? The perfect focal point for such a beautiful wedding!

A Blush Old Florida Inspired Wedding

Drawing their inspiration from the very place they fell in love, Carolyn and Danny’s “Old Florida” inspired wedding told their story in the most beautiful of ways. Taking place at Bay Preserve in Sarasota, fresh citrus, pastel shades of blush and orange, and vintage postcards were just a few of the elements that played a part in creating Carolyn and Danny’s stunning wedding day. Thanks to the gorgeous imagery captured by Esther Louise Photography, we get to relive the day these college sweethearts were wed, while Carolyn shares her wedding planning insights and advice with us along the way!

What (or who) helped you most in your planning process and/or on your wedding day?

I did most of the planning on my own in the beginning because I knew exactly what my vision was for our ‘Old Florida’ wedding and didn’t want to lose sight of our theme. My day-of planner did help a ton closer to the wedding to help me keep track of all the logistics. She also helped me keep track of vendors and their questions the day of.

What was the most important thing to you when deciding who to work with for your wedding?

First, I wanted vendors that fit our vision for the wedding. But I also wanted to make sure our vendors had the time to devote to our projects. Some vendors I contacted took a while to respond to emails so I knew I found the right people when they were prompt to respond and asked questions–interested in combining their expertise with my ideas of how I wanted our day to look and feel.

What was your inspiration for your wedding details and/or design?

My husband and I are native Floridians and met in college at the University of Florida. We were inspired by the beautiful orange groves nearby Danny’s family’s home where we took our engagement photos. We knew we wanted to incorporate oranges in the wedding and the rest fell in to place. From the vintage Florida postcards to the salt water taffy often found in touristy stores, we showed off the place we love but also kept it fairly neutral with pastel colors and the faded postcards so nothing stood out too much or was too loud.

What was your favorite thing about your wedding?

Our send off was incredible. We got on a boat and as we left all of our friends and family were there bordering the sea wall of our venue, watching as we left on the water. It was so special to see everyone waving to us. We both felt very thankful for everyone who came and showed us their love and support that day.

What is your best piece of advice for other brides?

Plan ahead until you can’t plan any detail any more specifically! Don’t leave anything for the day before or day of. You want to be able to enjoy every second of the day. It will fly by but try to stop and really take in what’s going on around you and think about how happy you are to marry the person you’ve chosen for the rest of your life!

I absolutely love all of Carolyn’s insights and advice! And I truly love the way she and Danny infused their story into their wedding design. Seeing that is my absolute favorite thing!
