A Navy and Yellow Elegant Multicultural California Wedding

When two cultures collide, you’re sure to get a beautiful combination of traditions and typically a little bit of non-traditional details that enable a celebration that satisfies both the bride and groom. This California wedding day was the perfect mix of both! The groom, being Indian, wanted a ceremony that would reflect his colorful culture and traditions, while the bride wanted a traditional ceremony officiated by her brother. We love that they chose to celebrate with 2 ceremonies (and 2 cocktail hours!), and we are thrilled to show you all of the details of their beautiful wedding day!

Carren and Ninad celebrated with a full days worth of events in Placentia, California at the The Richard Nixon Library. The reception itself was a formal affair inside a replica of the State Room in the White House, full of ivory and gold details, while the ceremonies both took place outside on the grassy lawn. The vibrant color palette of the Indian ceremony was transformed into a palette of navy blue, mustard yellow, and soft pink and ivory florals.

There were so many elements that made this day special with the two ceremonies, traditional elements, modern details, and incredible design, and CCL Weddings pulled it all together flawlessly! We cannot say enough about how this day came together, and it’s best that you see the beauty that Christine Farah Photography captured throughout the day!

One of our favorite details during the second ceremony was the custom C+N vase where the bride and groom poured blue and yellow liquid to combine into green in a heart at the bottom. Such a fun and modern twist on the unity ceremony, and we love that the incorporated elements of their wedding design that made this element more personalized to their day.

A Pink and Teal Rustic Florida Wedding

Katie and Connor’s rustic Florida wedding at Bowing Oaks Plantation had pops of vibrant colors, wood details, and a little extra sparkle! They chose a bold color palette of pinks and teals with gold accents, which created a beautifully colorful day of celebration.

There were so many fun details that Angelita Esparar Photography captured throughout the day. As guests made their way to the ceremony, they were greeted by wooden signs lining the path with a bits of a Bible verse coming together as they made their way to their seats. The bride and groom exchanged their vows under a large oak tree framed with a sprinkling of white and pink flowers.

As guests entered the barn-style reception, they were welcomed into a beautiful space featuring soft white draping to lighten up the solid wood walls. The couple chose to mix both round tables with glittering gold runners and wood farm tables lined with greenery. And we love that they brought in touches of teal! The centerpieces created by Anything with Plants and Flowers featured a mix of lanterns and gold containers overflowing with hot pink, light pink, and white blooms. Coastal Coordinating did a perfect job of pulling these details together to make Katie and Connor’s wedding perfect!

Katie and Connor’s wedding was absolutely beautiful, and we love how much joy and love they showed throughout their day.

We are also excited to share their beautiful wedding film by Wes Davis Creative . It is always so special to watch these days unfold, and seeing this film captured so many sweet moments, and incredible words that were shared that day.

Creating an elegant look with hints of modern design created a beautiful style for these wedding ideas. Old Town Event Center provided them a beautiful blank space to with rich wood floors and chandeliers that offered the perfect setting for this style.

Allie Rose Events created a look of modern romance with a feminine color palette of lavender and soft pinks mixed with loose greens. The design took a modern twist with the addition of mixed metals that glowed under the light of the chandeliers along with the geometric terrariums with candles that provided contrast to the soft colors and textures of the table. We love the designs created by Shannon’s Custom Floral, from the beautiful arrangements to the stunning drapery that created a focal point behind the bridal table. We love how the fabric cascaded behind the bride and groom, and really felt like it drew your attention even more towards them.

We also think the bridal gown chosen was a perfect fit for this style. It offered a little bit of tradition mixed with some modern romance, and we absolutely love the movement of the skirt. We hope you enjoy this style, and we love the beauty and detail that Sheri Holloway Photography captured!

We love how these details in this design came together. From the hand dyed stationery pieces, to the mix of metals and the gorgeous draping, every detail provided beautiful elements of inspiration. We can’t forget to talk about that stunning cake by cf Cake Design! Four tiers of beauty with gold foiling cascading down to end with a base of solid gold foiling… we are definitely in love!

With the bride having roots in Florida, and the groom being Michigan born and raised, this couple fused details from this part of their love story into their beautiful garden wedding day. From hotel gift bags to programs and their ketubah, subtle hints to Nayda and Alex’s multi-state adventure could be found all throughout the day.

Using an “ethereal” style as design inspiration, this couple found ways to incorporate the natural elements of the gorgeous waterfront botanical garden of Selby Gardens in with a romantic and whimsical style. Chandeliers hanging overhead, and crystals dripping from trees successfully achieved this feeling, made complete with rich pops of color and texture in the florals created by Elegant Designs .

Every detail made for the perfect reception for guests to enjoy as they celebrated Nayda and Alex, and NK Productions did a beautiful job pulling all of the details together. With a style that adds organic touches and hints of whimsy, we love how their photographer, Tiffani Jones, captured the moments and details from this beautiful wedding day!

We’re excited to share some final words from the bride regarding a special element that they chose for their wedding day.

“One of the things that made our wedding really special was that we wrote our own vows. Though writing generally comes easily to me, writing vows to Alex to be read in front of our closest friends and family was one of the most intimidating tasks I have ever set out to do. Still, it was also incredibly special to share them with him for the first time on our wedding day. When you live together and plan a wedding together, not very many things about the day of your wedding (other than “the dress”) get to remain a secret. I think that’s part of what I valued about our exchange of vows. There is nothing like hearing your beloved’s vows to keep you in the moment during your ceremony and it was simply incredible to share promises with each other in such an intimate way with those we love the most bearing witness to it.”

We adore this. We are always a fan of special details, and personalized vows surely do bring some extra tears to our eyes on wedding days, but we love hearing Nayda give her take on this process. Definitely something she’ll cherish for a lifetime.
