A mix of modern style with a classically elegant design is perfect for these inspiring grey and copper wedding ideas. Misty Saves the Day pulled together an incredible team of talent to pull off this style.

Copper and grey details combined with pops of tangerine gave way to a color palette that added a bit of the unexpected. The architecture of The Chrysler Museum of Art created a beautiful setting for this elegant style. With large stone arches and staircases, timeless details, and bright light shining in, the space gave so much character to the entire look.

The modern features of the table design added a beautiful contrast to the classic style of the space. A square table adorned with a lush garland added a fun twist to the table. The floral designs created by Isha Foss Events added elegance and a perfect pop of color. Mixing copper accents and touches of grey details offered a beautiful balance in the tabletop style, and we love the fun paper details from Ceindy Doodles, complete with wire calligraphy names to guide guests to their seats.

There are so many fun details that this team pulled together, and we hope you love how beautifully Maria Grace Photography captured this wedding inspiration!

A final detail that made a major statement in our book was definitely the cake style and display. Tucking it under a stone arch with an asymmetrical swag of a silver petaled linen was the perfect way to make the cake a focal point of the wedding style. We love how each element offered such stunning inspiration, and ideas that can easily translate to so many different looks.

Austin isn’t normally thought of as being a place for a destination wedding, but Megan and Kyle chose Ma Maison in Austin, Texas for their wedding location as a way to celebrate a place they loved visiting while dating. The couple, along with many of their family and friends, traveled in from Chicago for this elegant Texas wedding celebration, and we can’t wait for you to see!

Eclipse Event Co. worked alongside this couple to pull together such a lovely evening of celebration, and we love every detail that Brio Photography captured. Megan and Kyle chose an elegant style with blush and champagne tones, and so many treasured details that added a personal flair to the day. We are so excited about the insight and words of wisdom that Megan shared with us. She shared so many of their personal design details, and we love that you get to see some of the beautiful details and traditions from her special day!

What was the most important to the two of you while planning?

We wanted to create a weekend in which our guests were able to experience as much of Austin’s great food, drinks and music as possible. Since all of our guests were coming from out of town, travel accommodations were an important part of showing everyone a good time. We put together a little bar/food truck crawl on the night before our rehearsal dinner and had a welcome party for everyone after our rehearsal dinner. We chose to splurge on bus transportation from Austin to Dripping Springs. We thought it was important for everyone to enjoy the city and not have to worry about any travel on the day of the wedding.

Please describe your details.

My good family friend generously handmade all of our chalkboard signs. My parents helped me make the frame and table numbers for all the guests, it turned out great- you would never guess it came from a frame in the alley! My mother-in-law made me a gorgeous robe to wear while getting ready and also sewed these adorable bride and groom birds that we put on top of a little smash cake we got, just to have a bit of “cut the cake” tradition.

Did you include any family heirlooms or special traditions?

Family is very important to us, so we wanted to incorporate them in as much as possible. Kyle comes from a very large family, they have started to hand embroider all the names of each couple onto this consignment tux and bridal gown they found years ago. It seems hard to explain until you see it, but it is a very sweet tradition. I was able to take my mother’s wedding dress and have a seamstress turn it into a purse I was able to use on the wedding day, it was so nice to have a piece of her past with me. We had pictures of each of our parents and grandparents on their wedding day in frames on our cake table. We also were able to have one of my grandfather’s poems read during the ceremony to honor his memory.

What were your favorite parts of the day?

This is the hardest question of all. There are so many good memories. Our wedding ceremony was perfect. Our officiant managed to weave the story of us meeting and our love for one another with one of our favorite songs “this must be the place.” It was an indescribable feeling that I wasn’t expecting. It was incredible to look out into this group of people that had traveled so far to witness our marriage. It was very special.

We loved that we ate dinner separately in the courtyard during the cocktail hour. It gave us a few minutes of privacy together and allowed us so much more time during the dinner to visit with our guests.

One of our favorite parts of the night was the dancing. We had some amazing energy and people were cutting loose. We barely left the dance floor after our first dance. We enjoyed a “final dance” after all of the guests had cleared out. It was really neat to look out into the empty room one last time together.

Do you have any advice for couples planning their weddings now?

Our advice would be to make your decisions and stick with them. We spent a lot of time going back and forth on silly details that did not even cross our minds once on our wedding day. Don’t sweat the small stuff. Also, you have to give up on your people pleasing tendencies. We learned you are never going to make everyone happy, so go with what makes you both happy. Finally, on the day of the wedding be sure to take a step back together to appreciate the moment, especially the love of your family and friends.

Such great advice, and so many treasured moments. We absolutely love Megan and Kyle’s wedding day! The unique traditions and classic details made their wedding day an incredibly special celebration.

With a classic style and a preppy navy and white color palette, Anne and Karl’s outdoor Florida wedding at Cypress Grove Estate House was full of pretty details and a beautiful look that mirrored their personalities.

From best friends in high school, and years spent apart through college and the start of their careers, they knew there was something more between them. At the start of a recent European vacation, Karl proposed at a castle in Ireland, and that was the perfect start to this journey into marriage together.

From incredible travels to wedding day bliss, this couple celebrated their journey together in an elegant and classic way. Photos under a canopy of trees, lakefront “I Do’s,” and an evening spent dancing under the stars sounds like the perfect way to start a lifetime together. With the simplicity of white blooms from Flowers by Lesley, and royal blue accents, Anne and Karl’s wedding day style was clean, simple, and oh so charming.

With every detail woven so perfectly together by Tickled Pink Brides, and captured in the most beautiful way by Stephanie by Kristen Weaver Photography, you couldn’t ask for a better day!

Summer weddings in Texas are extremely special – the days are long, sweet and filled with laughter, hugs and, of course, a little bit of cacti.

In search of something quirky and full of personality, Paige Vaughn Photography and Lott of Events sought out the Greenhouse at Driftwood to create these yellow and teal wedding ideas accented by the simplicity of the desert style. Inspired by the greenhouses, as well as touches of honey and bold blues, an amazing vendor team created the perfect wedding design for couples with an eclectic vibe and a bright color palette in mind.

We love the rich wood tones, stone accents, and soft organic textures throughout this wedding style. It was the perfect balance with pops of color and the beautiful surroundings. The rough edge stationery with elegant lettering and simple leaf illustrations created by Studio W Designs is a beautiful introduction to this eclectic style. The bright yellow blooms from The Bloom Bar mixed with rentals from 10th Collection really brought the details alive. With just the right amount of Texas vibes and lush greenery, this wedding inspiration is enough to make anyone fall in love.

We think this eclectic desert style offers so many ideas that many couples can incorporate into their wedding day. And those cakes… we love these creations from Feathers and Frosting, and the incorporation of the bold teal into the simple design (not to mention the perfect choice in cake stands!).
