Why do you see yourself as being Modern, Vintage, Classic, or Eclectic?
We consider ourselves to be a Modern planning and design company because our goal is for each event to be a reflection of the client, instead of a reflection of a current trend. Getting to know our clients and designing an event that speaks to their tastes, personalities, and relationships, is a modern approach to event design. The styles of our events cover the full spectrum, from vintage to eclectic to classic and everything in between.
What is your favorite wedding detail you've ever seen or created?
Our favorite details are the personal touches that are threaded throughout each event that make guests say "this is so THEM!" It might be a custom artwork featuring a couple's dog, or a special cocktail recipe that pay homage to a hometown or proposal location, or a sentimental favor that recalls a beloved family member. It's these little details that make each event unique.
What is your favorite store or brand?
I love HomeGoods/Marshalls/TJMaxx because there's something to suit every taste, and you can even find something handmade or gourmet.
What advice do you have for a newly engaged couple?
Invest in your wedding day experience by hiring a planner. We can make your planning process so much more enjoyable and less stressful, and can help maximize your budget! And at the very least, everyone should have a professional to coordinate their wedding day so they can enjoy all the little moments and the quality time with friends and family, because it goes by with a blink of an eye and the last thing you want is to only remember feeling frazzled because you were trying to juggle everything that day.
What is your favorite thing about weddings?
Besides all the personal little details? It would have to be the emotions that everyone experiences that day! The bride's first look with her Dad, the exchanging of vows, the groom's dance with his Mom, those are always so emotionally charged and give me goosebumps! They are such special memories that we get to share with our clients.
What qualities do you possess that enable you to work well with brides and grooms?
I am a unique combination of creative-meets-organized. Many people excel at one or the other, but being strong with both allows me to be so successful at what I do. I can assist clients with custom ideas for their wedding while also being timely in communication and thorough in documentation. I like to keep the planning process both fun and methodical, which allows me to be an friendly resource for my clients. And my degree in counseling tends to come in handy as well!
What steps do you take to ensure that your clients will have amazing wedding days when working with you?
We make ourselves available from the day they become a client, to the day of the wedding, to ensure nothing falls through the cracks and everything runs smoothly. Our approach allows the client to tackle planning tasks in enjoyable steps to avoid feeling overwhelmed, and we are always respectful of our clients' budgets and their time. Our goal is to plan events with resources that are a good fit for each client stylistically as well as financially. And on the day of the event, all of our organization and planning helps to ensure that the clients can enjoy the day while we manage all the set up, execution, and little details
