Why do you see yourself as being Modern, Vintage, Classic, or Eclectic?
We pride ourselves in creating wonderful events that truly reflect our clients', their style and vision. Adapting to our clients style is one of our strengths. We take their ideas and create a “brand” for their event. This helps to design cohesive details and accents throughout the event. If they are stuck on whether or not to add a specific element, we can refer to the established “brand” to see if we are following the example. It really takes some of the stress away from planning. Whether they are a down-to-Earth, country girl, a high-fashion, city girl or something in between, their event will reflect those traits.
What is your favorite wedding detail you've ever seen or created?
We are a sucker for the details, so it's probably no surprise that one of our favorite details is a seating chart display. The bride had invited over 600 guests to her wedding and there was no way we could do traditional table tents without reeking havoc. So we decided on using poster displays with guests names alphabetized. The design of the poster was an original hand-painted watercolor based on a piece from the bride's great aunt. It was such a meaningful and beautiful touch.
What is your favorite store or brand?
Lilly Pulitzer is on the top of the list! They are exuberant, fun, bright, and energetic - all of the traits that we hold dear. Rounding the top 5 would be Homegoods, Kate Spade, Anthropologie and Kino's (the best flip flops in the world!)
What advice do you have for a newly engaged couple?
Hire a great planner. Wink, wink. But in all seriousness, make sure to be true to yourself. Don't let the voices of your mother, sister, future in-laws, aunts, cousins, etc drown out your vision. There will be so many opinions being hurled your way, just acknowledge them all and stick with what you know is best for you and your fiance. Speaking of your fiance, don't shut him out from the planning process. He might be more helpful then you imagined. Plus, it's his day too!
What is your favorite thing about weddings?
We are all hopeless romantics over here, so seeing the deep and true love that a couple shares during their vows is the best moment of the day. Also, we love when a couple infuses themselves into all the details. It's the small, personal details that guests remember and talk about for years to come.
What qualities do you possess that enable you to work well with brides and grooms?
We genuinely feel that a great event does not have to be at the expense of our client's sanity or enjoyment. As their partner in planning, they’ll gain a friend, confidant and guide during one of the most exhilarating and potentially stressful times of their lives. We are a fun, flexible and creative group, striving to create events that perfectly reflect our clientele's diverse styles and needs. We focus on creating their dream wedding, so they can focus on building the perfect marriage!
What steps do you take to ensure that your clients will have amazing wedding days when working with you?
Our goal is to take as much stress away from our couples as possible. Wedding planning can be such an overwhelming experience, but we want them to enjoy it. From constant communication to detailed timelines to learning family dynamics, we are proactive so that you can relax.
