Why do you see yourself as being Modern, Vintage, Classic, or Eclectic?
I see myself as being a little bit of all of these. I have a collection that has some of everything, but I also LOVE to create custom stationery. Your invitations should be a reflection of your personality while helping to set the tone for your wedding day! If you're fun and want to show that off, then let's get quirky! If you're elegant and classy then let's highlight that.
What is your favorite wedding detail you've ever seen or created?
My absolute favorite wedding detail to create are custom wedding maps. I love getting to incorporate details about your wedding events and little things that represent you as a couple. It is so great when couples add a welcome note or an itinerary on the back and use them in their out of town guest welcome bags. Such a sweet and personalized touch that guests always love!
What is your favorite store or brand?
Would you believe me when I say I hate to shop? GASP! I know, I know, I'm weird. I do love to shop small independent and handmade stores though (Hi Etsy, I'm looking at you!) and I'm human, so I also love target. I avoid it as much as possible though, because you can never leave that store without 75 things you didn't intend on buying when you walked in. Or maybe that's just me?
What advice do you have for a newly engaged couple?
The most important piece of advice I have is to enjoy the process. Hire professionals who know what they are doing so you don't have to stress when your day comes. Remember not to lose sight of why you are planning this awesome event, to celebrate the love you share with your partner in life and to start the rest of your forever! If you stay focused on that then everything else will be sugar on top!
What is your favorite thing about weddings?
I know it's cliche, but the love. The promise of forever and the way that the couple looks at each other when they exchange their vows. I especially love when couples write their own vows! So many happy tears!
What qualities do you possess that enable you to work well with brides and grooms?
I was actually a licensed counselor in my previous job. This taught me a lot of really helpful things, but the main areas that I feel like help me the most when working with couples would be that I am great at listening and communicating, which is pretty essential when discussing ideas for your designs. I also love being a part of a team, so my design process is a collaborative one. I want to make sure you love your designs, so your feedback and opinions are very important to me! I also want this process to be a fun and stress free process for you! I look at the couples I work with as friends and together we make an awesome team taking your vision and bringing it to life!
What steps do you take to ensure that your clients will have amazing wedding days when working with you?
I listen, I collaborate with you, and I am very detail oriented, so I make sure that your stationery not only makes you happy, but also enhances your wedding overall. I am committed to making your wedding paper dreams come true and providing outstanding service along the way!
