Why do you see yourself as being Modern, Vintage, Classic, or Eclectic?
Classic is a clean style that will never fade. Your wedding style may be vintage, modern, or even rustic. Photographing in a classic and modern way keeps your wedding moments how they really happened.
What is your favorite wedding detail you've ever seen or created?
There have been so many! Every wedding there is something unique. I love when my couples incorporate details from their story. Like the groom who hand-crafted a wood box for their ceremony vows or when the grandmother stitched the wedding date with blue thread inside the bride's dress.
What is your favorite store or brand?
Francesca's to shop. Subaru as a brand and product. But I would be amiss if I didn't tell you I get stuck in Michaels for hours!
What advice do you have for a newly engaged couple?
Enjoy these moments! Everything is exciting but then sometimes daunting. Truly hire professionals who have your back because being engaged is a sweet moment in your life together.
What is your favorite thing about weddings?
As a hopeless romantic: The vows. They get me every time! As a photographer: the portraits. I love that time when it's just you two and capturing that connection.
What qualities do you possess that enable you to work well with brides and grooms?
I like to laugh. A lot. It's a great quality to have on wedding days. There will always be time for seriousness but when you smile it lights up my camera.
What steps do you take to ensure that your clients will have amazing wedding days when working with you?
I ask questions! Seriously though we chat about everything to do with your wedding, not just the photography. I want to know all the little details about your day from the reason you picked your color palette to what favorite sweet you are serving.
