This vintage blush and silver wedding from Persimmon Images and Simply by Tamara Nicole is just overflowing with happiness and love! Cassie and Matt wanted a lighthearted and fun wedding, and a unique location of an old schoolhouse and several handmade details was how they successfully achieved their perfect wedding! Cassie is here with us today to share her wedding planning insight:
What (or who) helped you most in your planning process and/or on your wedding day?
Hiring a Wedding Planner was crucial to my wedding day success. Tamara was instrumental in all of the planning and then took care of absolutely everything on the day of the wedding. My family and friends were able to relax and enjoy the day just as much as I did.
What was the most important thing to you when deciding who to work with for your wedding?
I knew I needed a planner who would do a lot of the leg work for me when it came to planning the wedding. I am definitely not that girl who had her dream wedding planned out. Tamara was great because she literally helped bring my limited vision to life. I would never have been able to come up with the creative ideas that she had, and definitely wouldn’t have been able to implement them! It was also important that the person I work with have passion for what they were doing, and Tamara definitely had loads of passion. She had a positive attitude from start to finish and never lost the excitement of planning my big day.
What was your inspiration for your wedding details and/or design?
I knew right away that I did not want a traditional ballroom/church wedding. It just seemed a bit too formal for my husband and I. After perusing blogs and pinterest it became apparent to me that I wanted a casual/vintage vibe, and a location that could stand on its own without a lot of decorations. I was drawn to a neutral color palette because I thought it would withstand the test of time. I didn’t want to look back at my wedding pictures after 5 years and think “what the heck was I thinking?!”.
What was your favorite thing about your wedding?
My favorite thing about the wedding was that I literally didn’t have to worry about ANYTHING other than getting beautiful and marrying my favorite person in the whole world. I loved that I didn’t have to delegate duties to my family and worry about whether they were getting done or not. If there were any issues, I never heard about them! I also LOVED my candy/dessert table designed by Tamara. It was a major hit with all of the guests!
What is your best piece of advice for other brides?
My best piece of advice is to definitely hire a wedding planner, as it is worth every penny. Even if you only hire them for day of, you will not regret it. The last thing you want to do in the days leading up to the wedding is worry about schedules, vendors, etc. On that day you should have as little stress as possible and only focus on having the time of your life! Also, don’t stress the small details. Your day will be so busy that you will not even notice them on your big day!
Pretty amazing advice and insight if you ask me! I love the details that Cassie and Matt had too! Glitter table numbers and the unique books at each table for guests to fill out are my two favorites!
Cassie and Matt went into their wedding knowing they wanted it to be different from the “norm”. Are any of you doing the same? What will you be doing to keep things unique to you?
