Why do you see yourself as being Modern, Vintage, Classic, or Eclectic?
We love all things classic and vintage! Both Tyler and Christina are drawn to and love, soft, bright, natural and relaxed photography. We want your wedding images to be timeless and classic so when you look back on them later in life you will remember the wonderful memories of the day. There is nothing we want more than for you to look back on your wedding photos on your 50th anniversary and still love them!
What is your favorite wedding detail you've ever seen or created?
We love a DIY wedding there are wonderful stories behind all of the little details and aspects of the day. And even more than that I love when both families and friends are involved in the DIY process for weddings. We shot a wedding where all the flowers were bought from a farmers market and family and friends built all the bouquets, centerpieces, and ceremony pieces the day before the wedding and it was such a wonderful bonding moment for both families. And the flowers were amazing! They have been my favorite flowers to shoot and they have such a great story behind them.
What is your favorite store or brand?
Christina has many favorites namely Anthropologie and JCrew, Tyler would exclusively wear JCrew if he could.
What advice do you have for a newly engaged bride?
Since we just recently planned our own wedding we know how stressful and how wonderful planning a wedding can be all at the same time! The best advice I could give any engaged bride is to focus on the things that make you and your groom happy and define who you are as a couple. Even just simple details from your everyday lives that you can incorporate will really make your wedding feel like yours and have your guests raving. Most importantly have fun with the whole process and encourage everyone who is helping you plan to have fun with it as well!
What is your favorite thing about weddings?
We both feel so blessed to be able to shoot weddings together with the person we love the most which I guess is why our favorite parts of the whole wedding day are those emotional, loving, intimate moments between the bride and groom, family and friends. Your wedding day will most likely be one of the best days of your life and we feel so blessed and lucky that we get to spend the whole day with you both capturing all of the moments of the day.
What qualities do you possess that enable you to work well with brides and grooms?
We just got married recently so we have been through the whole process together which makes it very easy for us to work with brides and grooms and completely understand where they are at in their planning. We know how stressful and frustrating planning a wedding can be but also how much fun and happy it can be too. We make sure our brides and grooms have fun when they choose us as they’re photographers in every way we can. We make the whole process simple and easy for them so they can plan on having a good time with us as well!
What steps do you take to ensure that your clients will have amazing wedding days when working with you?
When couples hire us as their wedding photographers they are getting two new friends. We like forming great relationships with our brides and grooms that last long after the wedding day. Your wedding day is one of the best days of your life with many intimate and emotional moments happening throughout the day and if you are going to let two people in on those events we believe we should be friends!
