Interview
Why do you see yourself as being Modern, Vintage, Classic, or Eclectic?
Our style is definitely classic and timeless.
What is your favorite wedding detail you've ever seen or created?
One of our favorite details to photograph are the rings. They are so beautiful and special. That’s the one thing they will always have from the wedding day and we want to make sure we capture them in the best way possible.
What is your favorite store or brand?
One of my favorite stores is Riffle Paper Co. They are local and their stationery designs have me obsessed! 😍
What advice do you have for a newly engaged couple?
Take your time on the early stages of planning to make your budget and prioritize your vendors. After you book your venue (which will give you the official date) start interviewing and booking vendors in the order of that list. That will give you the opportunity to invest time, money and resources on what is truly important for you.
What is your favorite thing about weddings?
Capturing all the emotions of that day! It is such an honor to witness the beginning of a new family. We are very humbled for the trust that couples place on us to capture this day and the moments between moments that they will treasure forever.
What qualities do you possess that enable you to work well with brides and grooms?
I like planning and organization. I take my time to learn about my couples to make sure I create an experience unique for them and their needs.
What steps do you take to ensure that your clients will have amazing wedding days when working with you?
I have designed the client experience in a way that is very open and transparent. I meet with the couples for their initial consultation and make sure that by the end of that meeting I have answered all their questions and they have all the tools to make an informed decision. I believe in constant communication and being able to manage expectations as well as possible. Every couple is different and it is important that I take the time to learn what is important for them. One of the things I create with my couples is the photography timeline. I like to give them the layout of the day and what they can expect. I give them this tool early in the process so they can take it with them to make other important decisions for their wedding day. Closer to their date we meet to review the timeline and update it until they are happy with it. This part of the process is also different for each couple and working in detail on this document with the couple -by having meetings, answering their questions, making edits as needed and including as much information as possible about what is important for them- will provide me with the best tool to cover their day and be prepared as possible, and hopefully exceed their expectations.
We loved working with Marjorie and Nick! They were super sweet, friendly, and fun. They provided us with great photos to choose from and were very quick with getting them back to us. Marjorie helped direct us during the session if our hands, etc. were a little awkward but still kept the photos custom to us. We would highly recommend them to anyone looking for amazing wedding photos!
