Why do you see yourself as being Modern, Vintage, Classic, or Eclectic?
Honestly, I never thought about what style is my photography… I love creating photos that is romantic, intimate, and soulful. I love showing my clients how beautiful their love is, and capturing sides of them that may go overlooked or unnoticed.
What is your favorite wedding detail you've ever seen or created?
One of my brides wore her grandmother's pearl necklace. Grandma wore this necklace at her own wedding and gave it to the bride before she died. It had huge sentimental value for the bride.
What is your favorite store or brand?
On my free time you'll find me scouting around Anthropologie, William-Sanoma, Pottery Barn or Home Goods looking for new things for my house :)
What advice do you have for a newly engaged couple?
Don't stress over small details. Enjoy every moment. The most important thing is the one you’re marrying and the friends and family that are there to celebrate with you. Your wedding day only happens once, so make sure the memories you'll have about your wedding will bring smile to your face.
What is your favorite thing about weddings?
I love the anticipation and excitement while the bride gets ready. I love the way a father looks at his daughter as he walks her down the aisle. I love the way the bride and groom look at each other while they reading their vows. There are so many special moments and emotions during wedding day and those moments become photographs that remain for years to come as family memories and heirlooms that last for generations.
What qualities do you possess that enable you to work well with brides and grooms?
I know how to make my clients comfortable in front of camera. My clients are not models, they don’t know what to do in front of camera and very often they feel very awkward. Well, at least that is how I feel when I see camera pointed at me ;) I’ve been blessed with the clients that are truly in love and I want their photos to reflect that.
What steps do you take to ensure that your clients will have amazing wedding days when working with you?
I value the investment my clients make when they choose me as their photographer, and their trust in me is never something to take for granted. My clients deserve the best, and that’s what I work to deliver every time. I try to have personal connection with the client. Having that connection will allow the couple to relax, to trust and really allow the photographer to do what it is that drew you to their work in the first place. Also, I have pre-wedding consultations with every bride. We usually go over logistics of the day and very often I help my brides with their timeline. This way bride and groom can enjoy their day without stressing out about their photos.
