Why do you see yourself as being Modern, Vintage, Classic, or Eclectic?
All of the above but mostly Eclectic! We can work with a broad range of styles.
What is your favorite wedding detail you've ever seen or created?
The "Kissing Swans" chiavari chair covers we designed for the 2nd annual Starlit Supper engagement party shoot. After visiting the location and seeing the iron gates and arch in to the space, I instantly had a vision of kissing swans for the bride and groom chairs and took my rough sketch to an amazingly talented professional artist named Kerry Vosler who hand paint the swans for us on beautiful dazzling blue dupioni fabric we sewed in to chiavari chair covers. We then hand applied feathers one by one into the shape of the wings and back of a mute swan to give it the extra bit of drama and character you will see in our finished project. It was a really fun project to be a part and it turned out to be a wonderful collaboration of extremely talented V-List members led by Ashton Events & Lauren Grove.
What is your favorite store or brand?
Chanel, Ralph Lauren and Ethan Allen of course!
What advice do you have for a newly engaged bride?
My advice would be to hire vendors that you are comfortable with and trust which will allow you the peace of mind to simply enjoy your engagement. Also, when selecting a linen vendor in particular we would like our clients to know that we hand press our linen and individually spot treat and inspect each linen in order to offer the best quality linen rental available. Having fine linen is sometimes an underestimated element when planning a wedding, when in fact it actually takes up the most visual square footage over any other decor item. We like to think that beautiful fabric is like this great canvas; therefore, it holds the opportunity to set the tone for the remainder of the design, decor and details.
What is your favorite thing about weddings?
Each wedding we have been part is so unique so its so hard to say. We love to see and be involved with so many different styles and collaborate with Event Designers to help client/s inspire their designs through beautiful fabrics.
What qualities do you possess that enable you to work well with brides and grooms?
My degree is in Interior Design and I worked as the Visual Merchandise Manager/Store Designer & Buyer for several Ethan Allen Design Centers in the Tampa Bay area for 9 years, my husband Dan has a degree in Business Administration from The University of Tampa and has linen and dry cleaning processing experience as he previously owned a commercial laundry renting restaurant linen. Our daughter Kate Ryan is also part of the business and worked through high school helping with set ups and ironing and is now studying Hospitality Management as a freshman this year at Florida Gulf Coast University in Ft Myers, FL. Collectively we work very hard to offer our brides & grooms the very best linen rental & services available.
What steps do you take to ensure that your clients will have amazing wedding days when working with you?
We truly care about each client we work with and do not ever take it lightly that we have been trusted to be part of one of the most special days of their life.
