I am SO excited for this week’s Vendor of the Week! Not only is it the fabulous Michele Renee Hair & Makeup Artist Group, but also because they are the VERY FIRST Beauty vendor to join Every Last Vendor! :) I have also personally worked with Michele Renee, so I can definitely vouch for the amazingness of every artist in the group! Let’s find out more, shall we?
Why do you see yourself as being Modern, Vintage, Classic, or Eclectic?
We are artists, we have the pleasure to roam artistically all over the style board. So luckily, we are able to be modern one day, vintage the next and eclectic on the weekends if we want to!
What is your favorite wedding detail you’ve ever seen or created?
I think my favorite look is “The Liz” it is a hairstyle worn about 3 years ago by one of our Brides – Liz. It is simple small barreled curls throughout the hair and just pinned into place to create a harmony of twists and turns. It gives texture to the hair as to not make it flat and is just an overall interesting work. Many of our Brides request “The Liz”.
What is your favorite store or brand?
SAKS and Nordstroms. Love the customer service, and unique- high quality items sold in those stores.
What advice do you have for a newly engaged bride?
Don’t Stress on your big day! Everything that happens on your wedding day is meant to be. If it rains it is good luck. Remember that THINGS don’t make a marriage – flowers, linens, hair and makeup! A marriage is made out of LOVE! So whatever happens, happens – take a deep breath and LOVE!
What is your favorite thing about weddings?
I think my favorite thing is right before the Bride and Father of the Bride, Mother of the Bride, or both – walk down the aisle. It is the look of hope and excitement in the Brides face and the look of accomplishment in the parents face right before they start the physical and metaphorical journey down the aisle and in life.
