I’m so excited to share this week’s Vendor of the Week with you! Emily of Emily Grace Design is a fabulous planner & designer based in Central Florida. I’ve actually personally known her for years. She is probably THE most organized and creative person that I’ve ever known. :)

So kick back and learn a little bit about Emily Grace Design– and consider the photos a sneak peek of a wedding coming to the pages of ELD very soon!

Why do you see yourself as being Modern, Vintage, Classic, or Eclectic?

I see Emily Grace Design as having an eclectic style because we find inspiration from a variety of places. Our style, like our personalities, can’t be described by one word because we draw inspiration from everything around us. We see weddings as being a product of the personalities of our clients, and love creating something that is so uniquely you!

What is your favorite wedding detail you’ve ever seen or created?

My favorite wedding detail changes on a daily basis. I’m always drawn to the non-traditional details. I like things that hang and add visual interest. I like incorporating ribbons and fun fabrics into a variety of decor elements. I really love anything that is playful and adds personality, my favorite detail of right now are big round balloons (but that will probably change next week).

What is your favorite store or brand?

I find myself constantly inspired by stores like Anthropologie, West Elm, Restoration Hardware, etc. They have a great sense of personality and create beautiful looks out of unexpected objects. I love this approach to creating fun, creative, and completely personalized events.

What advice do you have for a newly engaged bride?

Being newly engaged can sometimes be overwhelming. It’s ok to be excited! My best advice is to let it sink in for a little bit, and enjoy this time. Planning can be a stressful process, but don’t forget what you’re planning for. DO begin getting a sense of how you want your wedding to be, but DON’T go out and buy everything in sight. This is not only a waste of money, but also a waste of time and energy, and it will only leave you frustrated. Think about what YOU love, and not what the current trends are. You will always be you, but trends will pass.

What is your favorite thing about weddings?

I love the smiles on the faces of the bride and groom as they are walking back down the aisle after saying their “I Do’s.” That’s a priceless moment in my mind. Also, as a planner, seeing the vision that has been a work in progress for months finally coming to life is absolutely incredible.
