This wedding that I have for you all today from Bryan and Mae Photography is gorgeous. Of course though, because all images by Bryan and Mae are gorgeous! The wedding took place at the bride’s family’s orchard in Michigan (super cool!), the whole bridal party is incredibly stylish, and there were tons of fun and games at the reception… one of which may or may not have been beer pong! Oh, and a hayride too! The bride, Allison, is sharing some of her insight on what it was like to have her wedding at her family’s farm with everyone pitching in too!
What (or who) helped you most in your planning process and/or on your wedding day?
What helped me the most I would have to say would be the internet. I used the internet to do all my research on the flowers, food, and clothing. I couldn’t really pick one person to say helped me the most. My wedding was a family planned event meaning my grandpa got the orchard and reception area ready, my mom as well as close friends and grooms side helped with setting up the wedding the day of. Everyone chipped in right when I needed them too making my day perfect.
What was the most important thing to you when deciding who to work with for your wedding?
When doing my research online I looked for what appealed to me. Some areas the only place I picked I went with like my caterer, Adeline Leigh, and my clothes places, Modcloth, Express, and TOMS. My mom suggested the Grand Traverse pie company so of course we had lunch there which was wonderful and tried many of their flavors of pies (soooooo good how could we not go with them). For others I went with personality. For my flowers, I picked a few places and only ended up visiting one, which was Ludema’s. When I met Alison (we share the same name!) I loved how she was equally as excited about the look of my wedding as I was. I knew she would be perfect in picking what flowers to stand out against the orchard and my outrageous clothing selections. And lastly my photographers, Bryan and Mae. I loved how relaxed and down to earth they were. They kept me calm and they were a step ahead of me which is hard to do.
Gorgeous… and that’s only Part 1! Part 2 is coming up later today, so be on the lookout for more of Bryan and Mae Photography‘s beautiful images! :)
