This down-home Florida wedding from Justin DeMutiis Photography features a charming barnyard venue and darling rustic details that will make you want to kick up your cowboy boots! Sweet bride Lauren is here to share her planning insight:
What (or who) helped you most in your planning process and/or on your wedding day?
I had an out of town wedding, so my wedding coordinator, was a huge help in the planning process as well as on my wedding day. She took all of the ideas I had and turned them into my dream wedding. I knew what I wanted, but I didn’t have the time to pull it all together away from home. She also relieved a lot of stress on my wedding day. It was so nice to be able to relax and enjoy my big day rather than having to worry about all the details coming together.
My mom was also a major help during the whole wedding planning process, from helping me find amazing vendors, to finding all sorts of odds and ends to use for decorations, to helping me pick out my wedding dress. She was there for it all and assisted me in every way she could.
What was the most important thing to you when deciding who to work with for your wedding?
The most important factors when deciding who to work with for my wedding were finding people who understood what I wanted and who were easy to work with. I wanted people that could give me suggestions, but didn’t pressure me to use their ideas. Great reviews and references help, but it really comes down to how well the people understand what you want and that they are willing and able to make it happen without adding any additional stress to you.
What was your inspiration for your wedding details and/or design?
I searched the internet quite a bit for inspiration and ideas. I knew the style wedding I wanted, so I used Pinterest and various wedding blogs to get more detailed ideas. I knew I wanted a rustic wedding full of fall colors. I wanted it to be laid back and simple, yet elegant at the same time. Being able to “build” my dream wedding through pictures on Pinterest was a major help when it came to communicating what I wanted to the vendors.
What was your favorite thing about your wedding?
My favorite thing about our wedding was seeing how well everything came together! It was awesome to look around and see how all of the details together, created a beautiful stage for my wedding day. The best (and most important) detail of our wedding was the company. We were so blessed to have such loving and supportive family and friends there to make the day so incredible. Looking around and seeing everyone smiling, laughing, dancing, and just having a good time was truly amazing.
What is your best piece of advice for other brides?
The best piece of advice I could give other brides is to enjoy EVERY second of it! It all goes by SO fast. Take time to really look at everything and enjoy all of the details that you worked so hard to put together. When you step back and take it all in, it is truly amazing. In the whirlwind of excitement it is easy to overlook the little, yet beautiful things that make your wedding unique. Try not to sweat the little things on your wedding day. Trust the people working on your wedding and know that everything will work out just right. It all goes by way too fast for you to worry about the little things. Have fun and enjoy it all! You are about to marry the man of your dreams!
Wonderful advice, Lauren! Aside from the vows exchanged, the company you keep at your wedding is of utmost importance!
What are you planning on doing to ensure that you can enjoy your wedding day to fullest? Any special plans?

What sweet details! And orange always seems like such a perfect color for Florida. Isn’t it the orange state or something? (Kidding. I know it’s the “Sunshine State”)
