This green and white nature inspired wedding, full of burlap and babies breath, is so refreshingly beautiful. The bride, Ashley, drew her inspiration from how her groom, Eduardo, first told her he loved her- using the comparison of planting a seed in her heart in hopes of it becoming a tree. ArtPhotoSoul Photographers captured the lovely result of incorporating wood elements, burlap, and succulents with an elegant, rustic style. Ashley is here with us today sharing insight into her planning and inspiration…
What (or who) helped you most in your planning process and/or on your wedding day?
I had SO much help from so many people. My family and my husband helped my planning process (in keeping me sane!). The day of the wedding, my aunt took the reigns and became my planner. she made sure all went smooth and that everyone was where they needed to be at the right time.
What was the most important thing to you when deciding who to work with for your wedding?
What was most important in deciding who I’d work with was that they were willing to work within my budget and ideas. I was so grateful to find vendors that were not just implementing their ideas, but working with mine and transforming them.
What was your inspiration for your wedding details and/or design?
My inspiration was the story with my husband. When he first approached me to tell me his feelings for me, he used the comparison of planting a seed in my heart in hopes of it becoming a tree. He also read a verse from the bible, Proverbs 13:12- “Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but when the desire comes it is a tree of life.” So my theme was rustic, trees, wood!
What was your favorite thing about your wedding?
My favorite thing about my wedding was how much fun I had, and how much fun others had, too! We had people dancing, while others were eating. The time was not divided between eating and then dancing. So the guests were able to dance when they wanted, and eat when they wanted.
What is your best piece of advice for other brides?
My best advice for other brides is to ENJOY every minute of the wedding! Worry about it during the months of planning, but when the day comes don’t worry anymore! Regardless of what may happen, what’s most important is to be in the moment and soak in every second because it goes by so fast.
