This romantic purple wedding from Avant Images is just beautiful! Keep an eye out for some gorgeous florals, a bench as a guest book alternative, and an amazing cake! The lovely bride Carrie is here to share her planning insight with us:
What (or who) helped you most in your planning process and/or on your wedding day?
This is kind of a hard question to answer, because I got a lot of help from everyone. From my vendors, my mother-in-law, my friend Kristin who is a wedding planner, but I think the one person that helped the most with the planning would be my mother Mary. She really did help put all of my ideas together! Now during the actual reception my friend Kristin was trying not to work to much, because she was actually in my wedding, but her planning skills were there when I needed her!
What was the most important thing to you when deciding who to work with for your wedding?
I guess my motto is always “the best bang for my buck.” I did a lot of research on all my vendors and made sure they were easy to work with and did everything I needed so we didn’t have to worry about anything during the wedding.
What was your inspiration for your wedding details and/or design?
My inspiration really came from my style and the venue we decided to go with. The building we used speaks for itself! From the original white washed bricks to the wooden walls and my love for the color purple!
What was your favorite thing about your wedding?
My favorite thing about our wedding was hearing the day after how much fun everyone had! Also I love the personal things that we did. Like the guest book was actually the bench (which sits at the end of our bed and that was hand made by one of my bridesmaids Amie) and we did the wine box ceremony.
What is your best piece of advice for other brides?
To take as much in as possible. I spent my whole night on the dance floor. Dancing with my new family and my old family. Do not let a small thing ruin your day. What happens is how it was meant to happen!
Seriously- how great is that bench that served as a guest book alternative?! And did you catch that last shot, with the bubbles everywhere? Makes for an amazing exit photo, don’t you think?
What are y’all planning on using as your “guest book”? Will you be doing something unique like the bench that Carrie and Craig did?
Vendors who made it all happen…
