This romantic pink and blue wedding captured by Michelle Kristine Photography is just full of beauty. From the pretty shades of pink and pale blue, to the candlelit reception, this timeless Florida wedding is like a breath of fresh air, and a perfect start to spring! The lovely bride, Allison, is here with us sharing more about her wedding day…
What (or who) helped you most in your planning process and/or on your wedding day?
My mom is my best friend and it was so fun to be able to plan my wedding with her. She was there for every step of the way. My fiancé and I were long distance at the time, so my mom and I had to plan every detail together. At the time I was sad that my fiancé couldn’t be a part of the planning process, but now looking back I have such great memories with my Mom that I will always cherish.
What was the most important thing to you when deciding who to work with for your wedding?
When I chose who I wanted to work with for our wedding I really looked for is someone who isn’t just about the service they provide. But rather about the special day of two becoming one and join families. When I chose my photographer, Michelle Kristine Photography, I knew that she was passionate about capturing every second of the day and helping you make your day is special as could be!
What was your inspiration for your wedding details and/or design?
My inspiration for my wedding details was pastels with pops of cornflower blue. Blue has always been my favorite color since I was little so I really wanted to tie it in to the wedding without being the main color. Blush pinks, whites, and greens helped tie it in and create the romantic, serene feeling I was hoping to convey.
What was your favorite thing about your wedding?
My favorite thing about my wedding other than marrying the love of my life was having everyone that meant the most to us in one room. My favorite memory from the day was having all my bridesmaids in the limo on the way to the reception. We were dancing the Katy Perry – Firework, and coming up with a routine to do during the Reception. That helped diminish the nerves and it is a memory I will cherish forever!
What is your best piece of advice for other brides?
The best piece of advice I have for other brides is to relax on your wedding day and just soak up every minute with your family and friends. I was moving away from my family after the wedding so I wanted to take in every second with them.
I also tried to not get hung up on the details, if something was going to go wrong I was going to “roll with it”. During the ceremony after my dad gave me away my veil popped out. I remember looking behind me seeing it on the floor and I chuckled. Don’t sweat the small stuff, at the end of the day it is all about you and your groom becoming one.
Oh I love Allison’s advice! And I also love her gorgeous color palette of pink and blue!
How about you? What will your wedding colors be?
