The first thing I thought when I saw this rustic Tennessee wedding by Bethany Ann Photography was, What a darling couple! Then, almost immediately after, Oh my word, that venue! No, seriously. Those were my exact thoughts. Trust me. I’m sure you’ll feel the same way.
What (or who) helped you most in your planning process and/or on your wedding day?
Our wedding planner helped us the most with the planning and especially on the wedding day! She was so organized and quick with answering concerns/questions.
What was the most important thing to you when deciding who to work with for your wedding?
Our key factor was reliability and price. My husband and I are stationed with the Army in Italy and had to plan from 5,000 miles away. We got in 3 days before the wedding from Italy and due to our amazing planner everything was ready! Also, she had everything—linens, decorations, flowers and food! She was the whole package which made everything perfect!
What was your inspiration for your wedding details and/or design?
Our wedding design was inspired by the new trend of “rustic” weddings. Plus, I am a Southern belle and so I felt it needed a southern touch! I knew outside was for us with classy and simple decorations.
What was your favorite thing about your wedding?
My favorite thing about our wedding was that it happened without any major setbacks!! But décor-wise it would have to be the antique church pews for the guests to sit in that my wedding planner found. The pews tied everything in and gave it a more Southern wedding feel.
What is your best piece of advice for other brides?
My best piece of advice would be to not stress! I know every bride says that post wedding but really, not stressing makes the whole day a lot more fun. And of course to expect that weddings will not go 100% perfectly but know that creates fun stories for later! (Like in our wedding we had a random friend of my husband’s decide to be a groomsman!)
See, what did I tell you? Aren’t Martha and David the sweetest couple? And isn’t that venue just spectacular? It’s called The Tanglewood House and it’s an old estate with several log cabins on the property (the oldest dating back to the 1790s). Seriously so cool.
A big thank you to Bethany Ann Photography for starting off our week with this lovely rustic and elegant wedding! Who here is having a rustic wedding? Will you be adding in a more elegant style, or perhaps a more casual style? We all want to hear your plans!
