A Pink Rustic California Ranch Wedding

This rustic California ranch wedding from Lindsey Gomes Photography is full of sweets (hello, cupcake truck!), surprises (hey there, fire truck!) and pink, pink and more pink. All of that blush and bashful balances out the masculinity of the barn setting, creating the perfect pair; much like our bride and groom. Gorgeous bride, Nikkie, is here to give her planning insight:

What (or who) helped you most in your planning process and/or on your wedding day?

My mom, sisters and bridesmaid Lacey helped me a lot. I would say that towards the end I wanted to have a Pinterest intervention with them all! Ha-ha! I would get emails of “Hey, check this pin out!” daily!

What was the most important thing to you when deciding who to work with for your wedding?

Who was easy to work with, did they mesh with us and understand our personalities, and did they have a sense of humor. Laughter and having a good time is a MUST in our books!

What was your inspiration for your wedding details and/or design?

I really tried to revolve details around my dress and with touches of masculinity from the barn I felt it described us as a couple. I’m more of a dress-up kind of gal and my husband is a country boy/hunter.

What was your favorite thing about your wedding?

My favorite thing was riding in on the fire engine my husband works on. He had NO clue I had that planned and when he saw the engine didn’t think twice I would be in it. Oh gosh and the cupcakes!

What is your best piece of advice for other brides?

Relax and remember that at the end of the day all that matters is that you two are married!

Thanks, Nikkie! Besides the insane amount of joy radiating from both Nikkie and Chris, my absolute favorite thing about this wedding has to be Nikkie’s surprise ceremony entrance on the fire truck. What a super-fun surprise and way to honor her husband on their wedding day.
