Elizabeth and Eli’s North Carolina wedding day incorporated a mix of eclectic and organic design in the industrial space at The Lofts at Union Square. In an attempt to give the wedding their own unique feel, the couple had several special touches, including 250 handmade white paper flowers and favors, all made by Eli’s mother. The bride’s veil, headpiece, and dress details were all made from Elizabeth’s grandmother’s wedding gown, and a piece of Elizabeth’s mother’s dress was sewn onto her own with their initials.
One of our favorite details was the unique “White Room” that the couple created with a shadow box from their trip to India, containing photos of important life events, and other personalized décor. The sitting area by the coffee bar had a pew from the bride’s mother’s church, incorporating their faith further. Ample amounts of greenery, white décor with hints of pale blush, teacups and vintage tea party pieces, and family portraits created a welcome space for guests. The music was a mix of both American and Lebanese dance music, providing a fun blend of both Elizabeth and Eli’s cultures.
We absolutely love how Elly’s Photography captured the beauty of their day, including an additional post-wedding portrait session for the bride and groom!
We love the intentional details this couple created for their day, but mostly their joyous attitude. Elizabeth offers up some helpful advice for couples preparing their wedding, saying that high-quality photography is well worth the investment. “The day truly is a blur, so you’ll want to see good photos!” Elizabeth adds that “when you get stressed out, take a moment to be thankful. Your fiancé, loved ones, and everyone helping you prepare are the most important part of the process and you want the experience to be positive. It’s all going to come together.”
