I love when brides and grooms are able to combine traditional elements with a modern flair. Cassie and Don did just that with their ceremony at The First Presbyterian Church of Orlando and their reception at The Mezz- which by the looks of it, was all glitz and glam, cool chandeliers, and even a few glow sticks thrown in. Good thing Shipra Panosian Photography was on hand to capture it all!
What (or who) helped you most in your planning process and/or on your wedding day?
We did most of the planning ourself. Between my husband, mom and sister in law, we were constantly bouncing ideas off of each other until we found what we liked. When it came to the day of, we were fortunate enough to have Sweet Pea Events (based out of Orlando) help us. They thought of details we never took into consideration and made the day of completely stress free.
What was the most important thing to you when deciding who to work with for your wedding?
We really wanted to have a beautiful wedding without spending a fortune. We found companies that were great to work with. I cannot say that any of our vendors disappointed. It was all perfect.
What was your inspiration for your wedding details and/or design?
We wanted to keep our wedding young and fun. Once we found The Mezz we were able to use the fun atmosphere to help plan our centerpieces. They have a great geometric pattern to their carpet. From that we decided our centerpieces and linens.
What was your favorite thing about your wedding?
It’s hard to narrow down just one thing. Our ceremony was probably our favorite thing. Kent from The First Presbyterian Church of Orlando made our ceremony very personal. He took our story and told it our friends and family.
What is your best piece of advice for other brides?
Enjoy your day. Do not stress over the little things because it will all work itself out the day of.
Now tell me- isn’t that a wedding you’d want to attend? And seriously, a groom’s cake in the shape of a Diet Coke can?! Ah-mazing.

I’ve been so obsessed with gray & yellow that I didn’t think about other color pairings. I really, really like the idea of gray, white, and crisp cobalt blue. Remember this for me, okay? :)
As always is great to see your amazing work, super talented and stunning way to capture life and love stories. Love!
Obsessed with this reception venue! The lighting work perfectly with the wedding colors.
I love, love, LOVE the grey bridesmaids dressing. It puts a modern twist on the “Black and white” wedding party.
Does anyone know where the bridesmaid dresses are from?
I’m pretty sure those are Amsale chiffon bridesmaids dresses, however does anyone know what color that is..? I love the green-blue hue in the grey…
It’s AMsale Gray
