I had a new bride recently ask me for some ideas on how to ask her friend to be her Maid of Honor. So then I got thinking, asked some Twitter friends, and did some searching. I wish I had known about these ideas when I asked my bridesmaids! Therefore, I thought it would be a good idea to share some of these ideas! Even if you’re not asking your friends to be in your wedding, some of these ideas would be a nice, thoughtful gift too!

The first idea I had was a cute card saying “Will You Be My Maid of Honor?” or “Will You Be My Bridesmaid?” There are a lot of really nice cards available that you can send or give to your potential MOH or bridesmaid. You could also send some flowers along with the card, or even send flowers by themselves with a little note attached!

Another idea is to send or give your potential bridesmaids a cookie! There are several companies that make the most amazing cookies!

Another idea for a way to ask your maid of honor or bridesmaids is to just take them out to dinner, together or individually. You can give them a gift of some sort if you want to, but I’m sure just asking them will be enough of a gift! If you want to take a fun spin on a get-together, you could send them on a scavenger hunt, arriving at the final destination where you ask them to be a part of your wedding!

It’s always fun to plan something like asking your friends to be by your side on your wedding day. Do you have any other fun ideas? Share them with us!

I meant to share this with you after seeing your twitter post, but I recently had a bride that sent gifts to her potential bridesmaids (because they were scattered across the country). As they opened the box there was a package inside that said "Will You?" Inside the package was a t-shirt in the colors of the wedding that said "Bridesmaid" with the wedding date on the back. All the girls ended up wearing these shirts out when it came time for the Bachelorette party which was pretty cute. I also think it would be cute to do the same thing with a Tote Bag or something of the sort because they will be lugging a lot around when they hit wedding day, or pre-wedding if they are super involved.
