A Green & White Rustic Plantation Style Wedding

Miranda and Stephen exchanged their vows under a canopy of expansive oaks and started on their journey of marriage together in a simple yet elegant plantation style wedding at Bowing Oaks Plantation in Jacksonville, Florida. With little hints of a rustic Southern style, we love the classic look of their wedding day.

We absolutely love seeing the beauty that Dairing Events pulled together for these two. With classic elements and simple romantic details, the design was a perfect fit for the space, and it was far from short on special moments between these two. Subtle touches like a peach ribbon tied around napkins and pops of color added with the escort cards added a beautiful balance to the greenery and candlelit reception tables. One of our favorite elements were the lettered signs created by LMS Creative Studio that hung on the bride and groom’s seats, designating the names of the pets that each brought to their relationship. Top it off with a lovely dessert display from Alleycakes Bakery, and you know you’ll have a beautiful (and tasty) setup!

Tell us a little a bit about your wedding (your vision, color, style, and location choices).

For our wedding we wanted a day that was filled with lush greenery. I loved having pops of blush & blues all around. It was a very romantic feeling!

What were your favorite parts of the day?

Every single moment held a special memory to me. We were surrounded by our closest family and friends celebrating OUR love and commitment to God. What else could you ask for?

Tell us about your wedding flowers.

My wedding flowers were the one thing that I didn’t want to skimp on. Yes, I know flowers “just die” but to me they are such an important detail. My bouquet was timeless, lush, and beautiful.

Tell us about some of your favorite, personal details from the day.

Stephen and I are big dog lovers. We each have a lab (Reef and Bama). When Stephen and I first met we quickly discovered more about our dogs than we did each other. Reef (Stephen’s Lab) and Bama (my lab) both share the same birthday down to the year.

During our planning we really wanted to incorporate them in some way…well OF COURSE Adair found a way. The back of our reception chairs had a sign made that said “Reef’s Dad” and “Bama’s Mom!” When we saw them we were so in love with them!

Do you have any advice for couples planning their weddings now?

Hire a wedding planner! It helps you enjoyed the day more without having to worry about every little hiccup that may occur! My wedding planner Adair, from Dairing Events, and my mom were amazing throughout the whole wedding planning process. I couldn’t have done it without Adair and amazing vision!

You obviously know we LOVE this advice! So thrilled that Miranda and Stephen shared such a special day with us! So many sweet moments, and we love how crazy these two are about each other.
