Hi everyone! We’re ending this week on ELD with a stunner of a wedding to whom we have Phenom Photographers to thank. First of all, this couple got married under some of the most gorgeous trees I’ve ever seen. Secondly, the bride, who not only seems like the most down-to-earth gal {read her interview, you’ll love her}, looked beautiful {and oh so happy}. And third, the flowers, the invitation, the details, the cake… I’m running out of adjectives to describe it all. You’ll just have to see for yourself…

What (or who) helped you most in your planning process and/or on your wedding day?

The thing that helped me the most while wedding planning was definitely staying organized, which I did with plenty of checklists and spreadsheets.  The person who helped me the most was my husband, Ian. We chose all of our vendors together and spent a number of weekends working on DIY projects together. We also enlisted our friends and family for help. Ian’s mom, Sue, made the jam that we used for the favors and my friend, Sydney, designed the labels.  And my friend and hair stylist, Athena, flew down from New Hampshire to do hair for my bridal party. Our friends and family also did a phenomenal job making sure everything went smoothly on the day of our wedding so  I didn’t have to do anything the day of except show up and look pretty!

What was the most important thing to you when deciding who to work with for your wedding?

The most important thing to me when I was looking for vendors was that they understood that I was not a very traditional bride and that we wanted our wedding to be relaxed.  I’m also not a very creative person so it was important that my vendors could take my vague ideas and really bring them to life.

Did any of your vendors do anything special for you before, on, or after your wedding day that you would like to share?

What stood out the most on the day of our wedding was definitely our first look.  We are both uncomfortable in front of the camera and some of our friends and family were mingling about but Reggie made sure that our first look was completely private and they are some of my favorite photos from the day.

What was your favorite thing about your wedding?

My favorite thing about my wedding was feeling completely in love and getting to share that with our closest friends and family.  I also love how everything came together and had the relaxed and rustic feeling for which I was hoping.

What is your best piece of advice for other brides?

My best piece of advice for other brides is to relax! Everything will come together and even if things do go wrong, at the end of the day you’ll be married to the love of your life.  Also, make sure to take a moment with your husband and just soak it all in – the day goes by way too fast.

Did you hear that, brides? Sarah says to relax! {With an exclamation point.} Thanks for the great advice, Sarah, and for sharing the memories of your day with us. And thanks to Phenom Photographers for these gorgeous photos.

Aren’t they, though? Man, oh man. That venue with all those trees and twinkle lights. I almost fell out of my seat! And I’m not just saying this–Spread the love jam favors are seriously some of my faves. What’s one of your faves from this wedding?

Oh, and PS. HAPPY FRIDAY! Enjoy your weekend, lovelies!
