I’m always game for a celebration, which is why I think a New Year’s Eve wedding is an awesome idea! Combining two celebrations into one, plus an excuse to include glitz, glam, and confetti into a wedding design? Yes please! So when Meagan of Weddings Tied With Lace shared this glitzy bronze New Year’s Eve wedding inspiration captured by Amanda Lachapelle with me, I of course fell head over heels in love. Inspired by the idea of a bold and glitzy soiree to ring in the new year, this elegant fête on a rooftop lounge overlooking the town of Niagara-on-the-Lake is the perfect example of how amazing a New Year’s Eve wedding can be!

From Meagan:

We were inspired by the idea of a bold and glitzy soiree to ring in the new year and created an elegant fête on a rooftop lounge overlooking the town of Niagara-on-the-Lake.

For our team of vendors, the goal was to showcase the luxury of a sophisticated New Years party, one that emphasized the exclusive nature of a rooftop lounge and incorporated a classic aesthetic. A focus was strongly placed on our neutral colour palette of bold blacks, whites, coppery metallic tones, and just a hint of playful stripes. The hanging candles and paper lanterns above the table added a hint of whimsy, and looser florals brought in a natural contrast to the glitz. Nothing says New Years Eve quite like party favours, and handmade confetti and sparkler packets were displayed next to our bubbly signature cocktails in gold dotted champagne flutes.

The feeling of an event is just as important as the way it looks, and it was important to us to have the tablescape captured in daylight, at dusk, and into the evening to showcase the versatility of the look we created and evoke an energetic, sexy atmosphere that is a must for every stylish New Years party.

I love the bronze elements- I haven’t seen too much of that in wedding designs lately, but I’d love to see more!

So tell me- what do you think about a New Year’s Eve wedding? Would you consider it… or even attend a New Year’s Eve wedding?
