As you may have seen, another new feature that has been added to ELD is the vendor guide, Every Last Vendor! I’ll go into the details of ELV next week with a special post, but along with being in ELV, vendors get to be featured for a week! :)
Our very first featured vendor is…..
Ashley McCormick Photography!
Ashley is a photographer based in Central Florida, and she travels all over the beautiful state, photographing weddings in North Florida and on the West coast (of Florida) too! Here is a little insight into Ashley and her company:
Why do you see yourself as being Modern, Vintage, Classic, or Eclectic?
I consider my style of photography mostly classic with a slight vintage twist. I don’t like to do really trendy posing, tilted angles or funky editing. I want your images to be as timeless as possible while still showing your personalities. So crisp colors and clean black & whites. And being a lover of vintage things (my own wedding was 40’s themed!) I like to add a little bit of that in to my work as well.
What is your favorite wedding detail you’ve ever seen or created?
Oh there are so many great ones! A recent favorite were place card holders made from birch branches with little wire pieces to hold the cards. I also had a bride who made all of her flowers (even her bouquet!) out of paper and they were gorgeous, and so creative! A lot of brides have had custom jewelry or hair pieces from Etsy that add a nice personal touch. I always love to see what each bride will make unique about her day.
What is your favorite store or brand?
I love shopping at Ann Taylor Loft, JCrew and Coach. A classic girl through and through, I love their timeless styles!
What advice do you have for a newly engaged bride?
Forget those crazy huge lists through The Knot, but instead search through wedding blogs looking for wedding inspiration. A great site to keep all of your ideas in once place is Pinterest. But my number once piece of advice: TALK with your photographer about your wedding day time line. The time of day you get married will GREATLY affect the look of your photos. So talk to your photographer! They’ll make sure you have the best images possible :)
What is your favorite thing about weddings?
Knowing that the wedding day is the beginning of an incredible journey for the Bride & Groom. The excitement shared between them is simply beautiful. I am always so honored when a couple chooses me to document such an incredible time in their lives.
