This vineyard Virginia wedding {say that ten times fast!} by Elisa B Photography is perfectly Fall-inspired. From the wine colored bridesmaid dresses, to the gorgeous purple and maroon bouquets, to the leaf printed seating cards, and yellow and red centerpieces–it makes you want to curl up with a some hot apple cider. Say, why don’t you go grab some then come back and enjoy these beautiful photos as well as an interview with the bride, Lauren!
What (or who) helped you most in your planning process and/or on your wedding day?
A family friend (Amanda Pace Dickinson) had a lot of experience through friends and event planning with many of my vendors. I also used recommendations from blogs and magazines.
What was the most important thing to you when deciding who to work with for your wedding?
I recently moved away but knew I had to have my wedding in Charlottesville, Virginia. I looked for local people who had work that really appealed to me. I didn’t want a crazy stressful experience so we used people who mirrored that sentiment.
Did any of your vendors do anything special for you before, on, or after your wedding day that you would like to share?
I had a really special connection to almost all of them. Elisa B photography really made us comfortable and made sure we were captured in genuine moments on our special day. Our photographs are all so beautiful and better than we imagined they could be. Claire Goodman, our officiant, made us tear up when we saw she had printed our vows with a tree symbol. It was a theme of our ceremony as well as an incredibly personal memory for us both. She really went the extra mile. I also remember our cake lady, Teri Edwards, peaking from the kitchen at the vineyard to watch me walk down the aisle. So sweet!
What was your favorite thing about your wedding?
My favorite part of the wedding would have to be our ceremony at the most beautiful vineyard (Veritas), where I married the love of my life on the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The reception was amazing and up there on the list too!
What is your best piece of advice for other brides?
My best advice is to remember why you are getting married. Put time and thought into your wedding but don’t let it create so much stress that it overshadows the love that brought you there. It really helped me feel calm and excited on the big day. On the practical side…photograph your favorite dresses when you try them on. Some become very shiny or dull in photos.
A big thanks to Elisa B Photography for sharing these lovely photos. And to Lauren as well who seriously has THE BEST smile–don’t you agree?
I really love how the wedding colors match both the venue and the season–wine colored dresses for the vineyard, and purple, maroon, yellow, & red flowers for the season. How great is that?! Tell me, what’s your favorite part? And how was that apple cider by the way? Delicious, I hope!
