Nikki and Ryan felt as though they were taking a risk when they opted for a wine themed wedding for their day at Orlando’s Cyprus Grove Estate. Wine corks were accented with flowers for the gents’ boutonnieres, wine barrels were stationed on either side of their aisle, and wine bottles served as table numbers. With help and guidance from their wedding planner, Runway Events, it’s safe to say their risk paid off beautifully! Pink, red, grey, and gold filled their wedding day palette – a gorgeous combination for a New Year’s Day soiree! Rustic details meet lovely notes of glam in today’s fete (plus a dessert bar with donuts!), and I’m so excited to share the photos taken by Captured by Belinda and Nikki’s best advice below. Keep reading, y’all!
What (or who) helped you most in your planning process and/or on your wedding day?
This question is a toss up– it’s between my fabulous wedding planner who truly helped me with familiarizing myself with how weddings work, styling, and getting everything coordinated day of so I had nothing to worry about. My sister, aka maid of honor, who was always around whatever I needed whether it was just to vent, give me advice, or just making sure my guests were having a good time on wedding day. However, I really think this honor has to go to my husband for supporting me throughout the wedding process from beginning to end and for making me feel beautiful on our special day.
What was the most important thing to you when deciding who to work with for your wedding?
The most important thing was professionalism. I needed to find a team that was organized, timely at responding to emails, and able to answer all my questions.
What was your inspiration for your wedding details and/or design?
My husband and I decided on a wine themed wedding – I mean who doesn’t like wine? We thought we could utilize the common day wine materials for DIY projects to help save costs. Searching Pinterest and the web we started to develop our picture perfect wedding. We decided on a winter color palate that both captured a mixture of elegance and rustic qualities: A luscious rustic pink, glamorous gold, deep red, and gray blue. With the help of family and friends we made a luxurious wine cork chandelier, eye catching wine bottle trays, and spray painted wine bottles with DIY labels for center pieces. We captured our theme with two flower filled wine barrels lining our ceremony aisle, a wine barrel table topped with a beautiful candy display, and the rustic elegance of our sweet heart table set.
What was your favorite thing about your wedding?
Honestly just getting to marry the guy I love. :)
What is your best piece of advice for other brides?
My one word of advice to future Brides is do not be afraid to take risks. Enjoy the process and just be in love.
