The detail to love today isn’t just any old flag- they’re pennant flags. You know, those things that you used to put up on your wall, in the shape of a triangle? Well now if you use the right materials, they make for some awesome decor elements for an outdoor wedding!

I know I’m planning on doing something like this for an outdoor wedding in August- they’re an awesome way to add in color to a wedding! Pair them with some bunting, and you have a super fun flag theme to your whole wedding! (Take a few steps further and use the bunting motif on your paper products- so fun!)
And now I have a little something exclusively for wedding pros! If you were on Twitter last night, you may have seen me tweeting about doing a giveaway for a spot in the new ELD vendor guide, Every Last Vendor. Every Last Vendor will be launching VERY soon, (along with the new ELD!) and I thought that I would kick off what I like to call the “curation” of vendors by doing a giveaway!
Here’s how to enter:
1. Comment on this post with your favorite unique wedding detail.
2. Tweet “I want to win a spot in @ELD_Lauren’s new vendor list Every Last Vendor! #ELV” and then comment on this post that you tweeted it as well.
3. Sign up to receive the info on Every Last Vendor at this link. Comment again on this post saying that you’ve signed up. (If you have already signed up, you can comment without having to sign up all over again.)
(You have 3 chances for entries. The more, the better your chances of winning!) Entries must be in by 3pm EST this Sunday the 20th 5pm EST Tuesday the 22nd. (I have extended the deadline due to the site being down for a large duration of the giveaway!) The winner will be chosen at random and announced Tuesday night or Wednesday morning! I’m so VERY excited to be able to offer this feature with the new ELD! I can’t wait to help all of my readers find awesome vendors for their wedding!

My fav wedding detail is the guestbook. Whether it’s a vintage typewriter, a scroll, or a book, I love the collection of words and encouragement from people that love you!
I have completed the sign up!
My favorite wedding detail? Tough one. But I love outdoor weddings when people use chandeliers and window panes. So beautiful and chic looking! I also love little hand painted signs saying where the ceremony and reception are!
Ok, I tweeted the message and I had already signed up on the vendor list. Good luck Lauren!
I tweeted my entry to the contest!
I signed up on the ELD vendor list and I am thrilled to be apart of it!
My favorite detail to love has to be the Question Journals. So many of my brides are looking for something interactive for their guests to enjoy during the reception- especially if they don’t do a first look. LOVE the idea of the journals!

I’ve been signed up for ELV since the get-go. I would be positively thrilled to be a part of it. Thanks, Lauren!
My favorite new wedding detail is burlap. It has a wonderful French country feel to it, and is a great inexpensive way to decorate your wedding.
I signed up for the ELD vendor lists, and tweeted as well!
My favorite wedding detail is anything hanging from a place you wouldn’t imagine it would be, so lanterns hanging from trees outside or a chandelier hanging over an outside dance floor. Love it!!

My favorite Detail to Love would be teacups. It’s a great way to incorporate a couple’s family heirlooms (if their families have sets of china) in to the decor or as a favor (purchasing mismatched teacups from a thrift store or yard/estate sale) for guests to take home after the reception.

My favorite wedding detail has to be the stationary! I love, love, love the beautiful stationary available to brides today! From employing a graphic artist to letterpress invites to hand drawn maps I adore when couples opt to use stationary different than the traditional wedding invites!

I run an island venue with pathways to and from our dock to the two sites.Always make sure you have a big barrel of new flip flops for the ladies and perhaps the men who didn’t listen and wore heels or uncomfortable shoes
I love family heirlooms!! I also love it when a couple infuse their personality into their wedding. I recently saw a wedding where the couple used test tubes as vases and hand them from the tree. They’re both scientists. I thought it was super creative and personal.

I love details that have a special almost “inside joke” type significance to the couple. The last wedding I shot had Legos. That’s something I’ve never seen at any other wedding, and it had an extra special meaning to the couple, and now it has a meaning to their friends and family since they’ve shared it with them.
I tweeted!! Thanks for offering such a great giveaway!!

as a wedding and special event florist I love texture and today’s wedding have it in spades! Burlap is a great textural element to incorporate into some of the more rustic & romantic outdoor weddings. So when I saw a wedding bouquet by the talented Holly Chapple where she couldn’t get a brown scabiosa pods and so she made her own out of burlap, I thought it was brilliant. Thank you for extending the deadline Lauren! I think my favorite wedding detail is always the floral arrangements. I really love to see the creativity the florists have in using beautiful flowers in unique ways.
My favorite wedding details are the accessories — in decor (like using mason jars in your table centerpieces), using pearls or gems to add some bling to your invitations + escort cards, or cake toppers + cake bunting on wedding cakes and desserts!
My favorite wedding detail…phew toughie. But i adore weddings with vintage accents. Whether it be vintage furniture pieces around, displaying old family wedding photos or using parts of your grandmothers dress…you can’t go wrong with a vintage wedding feel.
