We’re starting 2018 off with colorful inspiration with a Spanish-style influence that has us dreaming of bright color palettes for upcoming spring and summer weddings. Michelle Garibay Events created this design of bright pinks and reds mixed with elegant blues at Coachella’s newest luxury estate venue, Old Polo Estate. This gorgeous venue is the epitome of SoCal wedding elegance, and has so much to offer. From it’s large Spanish-tiled bar and pool at the center of the venue- which is the perfect place to cozy up for cocktail hour- to the rolling greens and palm tree-lined paths, a perfect location for picturesque portraits.
Carrie McGuire Photography captured so many perfect details that made up this elegant outdoor wedding look. Bold blooms from Vasobello paired with neutral velvet linens from BBJ Linen and cool blue patterned plates and dipped flatware from Casa de Perrin made for a perfect compliment to the Spanish-style design that the space inspired. The full look created a bold, colorful elegance that we are hoping will usher in palettes of bright hues as we kick off a new year!
What was your design inspiration?
The estate itself played the biggest role in my design inspiration. From the beautifully manicured grounds to the modern Spanish-inspired tile – I wanted a tablescape that combined them both.
Highlighting the venue’s attributes was most important so I wanted to bring in a mixologist so we could style the bar with some craft cocktails. The spacious bar is in the center of the property and you will be hard pressed to avoid gathering to celebrate.
Describe the tablescape elements.
Sometimes the smallest of details can provide inspiration. The Spanish-inspired charger plate was the foundation of this table design. And to be fitting of this estate, the touch points needed to be luxurious all the way down to the flatware. The velvet linen, leather belly bands on the menu cards, and gold-rimmed stemware were a few of my favorite elements and the black tapers and chairs added an unexpected moodiness.
We love the bold simplicity of this elegant style. The contrasting colors of this pairing add a beautiful flair, and we can’t wait to see more bold pops of color in 2018!
What color combos are you looking forward to in the New Year?
