One of my most favorite things about looking through wedding photos is seeing the joy that exudes from people’s faces. Not just the bride and groom but their wedding party, guests, everyone. It takes a special photographer, like Blair Nicole Photography, to capture such true, uninhibited emotion.
What (or who) helped you most in your planning process and/or on your wedding day?
The best decision I made was hiring my wedding coordinator, Brooke, from Orange Blossom Special Events. She made the entire process such a breeze!! I’ve had some friends plan their weddings with no full time coordinator and I see how stressed they get. All the things you don’t want to have to do as a bride—schedule meetings, call tons of vendors for availability, etc.—my amazing wedding coordinator took care of so I didn’t even have to think about it.
What was the most important thing to you when deciding who to work with for your wedding?
It was important to me that my coordinator recommended them. I took her advice since she does it for a living and works with some over and over. I also wanted our visions of my wedding to mesh well together and for them to grasp what I was looking for.
What was your inspiration for your wedding details and/or design?
My inspiration was an enchanted secret garden. I wanted a venue with a lush garden for the ceremony—that was one of my top priorities. Then from there I wanted to incorporate whimsical and glamorous elements like crystals, feathers, and tree branches.
What was your favorite thing about your wedding?
Honestly my favorite part of the wedding was being surrounded by amazing family and friends and so much love in one room. It really makes your realize, even if things came out differently than I expected, what really mattered is to have a great time and an incredible memory to look back on. I love looking back on my photos and video!
What is your best piece of advice for other brides?
I would say to live in the moment and enjoy yourself. It’s so easy to get wrapped up in the pressure and stress of the day. Take a deep breath and remember to take note of special moments because it goes by so fast!!
