This classic pink and ivory wedding today from Catherine Guidry is just so pretty. I adore the bride’s dress and the bridesmaids in ivory dresses! The bride, Addie, shares some of her wedding insight with us as well, so keep an eye out for that throughout the post!

What (or who) helped you most in your planning process and/or on your wedding day?

Staying as organized as possible!  Up until the day of the wedding I was constantly adding to and checking things off of my to do list.  The vendors that I chose also made the planning process extremely easy for me.  My photographer, Catherine Guidry, created an itinerary for my wedding which helped out tremendously.  My florists, Pap & Pris and Amy Louviere, coordinated with one another and created beautiful bouquets, centerpieces, etc. and decorated my reception hall the day of the wedding.

What was the most important thing to you when deciding who to work with for your wedding?

Detail oriented, organized, and experienced.  I put a lot of thought and time into choosing a photographer.  I wanted to make sure that my photographer was not only detail oriented, but also had a great personality and worked well with us.  Not only did she capture our special day perfectly, but we have also gained a great friend!  When choosing my caterer, of course I wanted to make sure that the food was not only delicious, but that the presentation of the food was amazing and June Smith did exactly that!  My florists, Pap & Pris and Amy Louviere, were both very organized and experienced.  They both provided me with photos of previous weddings that they had worked, which allowed me to gather some great ideas.

Did any of your vendors do anything special for you before, on, or after your wedding day that you would like to share?

My husband and I were busy greeting our guests and dancing the night away, therefore, we did not eat at the reception.  Thankfully our caterer, June Smith, made a to-go basket of each item from our menu for us to taste!  It was delicious!

What was your favorite thing about your wedding?

Celebrating one of the most important days of our lives with our families and friends!  I spent so much time worrying about all of the little details as far as decorations, flowers, etc.  However, once the ceremony was over we were able to let loose and enjoy ourselves after over a year of planning!

What is your best piece of advice for other brides?

Don’t sweat the small stuff!  Enjoy your time planning, because your wedding day goes by much faster than you think!  I spent so much time worrying about every little detail, but when it came down to the wedding day what ultimately mattered was that I was marrying my best friend and starting a whole new chapter in my life.

Excellent advice! Thank you for sharing your insight with us Addie! And thank you to Catherine Guidry for sharing her gorgeous images with us too! What’s your favorite part of this wedding? I’m particularly loving the bride’s bouquet! :)
